Anyway, fun fact: there is a Homelander fictive who currently has residence in our system, but he isn't meant to be depicted in this drawing-- just the character himself. We selfship with Homelander, not our fictive of him. That relationship is waaay more complicated (and a bit of a nuisance)

Clearing up Proxy Bot Rumors

I'm making this post for the DID community to try to put everything into one timeline. I will no longer be reblogging posts about the subject, but my DMs are open. Below is information on the timeline of things unfolding in the last week publicly, Simply Plural, Octocon, Ampersand, Concordia, if and/or when they're shutting down, why they're shutting down, and alternatives for system organization.

Simply Plural: On March 7, 2026, Simply Plural announced that it would no longer be continuing its development. You can read the official post here.

When: Simply Plural will remain available until the funds run out to host the online servers. An end date has not been announced, and it has been promised that there will be 1-2 months between the announcement of the end date and the official end date of the platform. In the interim, the platform will not be updated/developed, though it is still usable.

Why: The developers started the app in 2020/2021 during Covid, when folks were working from home and had more time to develop the platform. By 2023, there were over 200.000 registered users, with 10.000 to 15.000 daily active users. The developer dedicated hundreds of hours to development, but it came to the point where the developer no longer has the time to continue working on the app. As stated: "[A]ny free time I do find, it's usually spent on answering emails, doing upkeep, management and generally providing support. This leaves virtually no time that I can spend on actually developing the app further."

Octocon: The influx of users and harassment that led to its announcement of closure.

When: Atlas is currently trying to approve the Google and Apple apps to have export functionality. After these apps are approved, there will be another announcement, and then there will be two weeks between that announcement and Octocon's closure. An official date has not been announced.

Why: The Octocon team has been harassed over the last week to an incredible degree, although they've been harassed since their conception. You can see more info below. Basically, Atlas is done taking the harassment from the community. Below is a timeline of the events of the last few days, if you're confused why Tumblr and Discord users are angry.

March 7th: Octocon welcomes their influx of users, sharing what Octocon is and how to use it.

March 7th, 11 hours later: Octocon announces that the application is stabilizing after the influx of new users. Atlas pledges to dedicate the next two weeks to bug-fixing.

March 9th: Octocon releases a statement on their Tumblr, which you can see here. This is clearing up a few misunderstandings. By this point, Octocon already has a past rooted in the whole pro-endo/anti-endo discourse, and more users who felt strong opinions on either side were harassing the developer and mod team. As a result, they pledged to release a statement that likely took hours-to-days to compile, proof read, and publish.

March 11th: Octocon releases a Discord announcement and a Google Doc (linked here) outlining controversies that Tumblr and Discord users had been DMing them and harassing them over in an attempt to stop the harassment. I mean, it was so bad there's STILL a Tumblr user I won't tag that's sole mission is spreading bad-faith misinfo over a situation handled literal years ago. But to focus on the pro-endo/anti-endo harassment:

As well as some replies in their #discuss-announcements channel. The majority of these replies were positive, but it's important to point out the negativity in these cases, as well as why this announcement had to be made. Usernames are censored for privacy/safety.

March 13th: Atlas retires Octocon, citing harassment.

Considering they had to make a statement about years of controversy, this doesn't surprise me. Here's a post I made already with screenshots as to what the reactions were in the server to this announcement.

Ampersand: On March 13, the devs address some things, but state there's no hiatus or shutdown. See the official post here.

When: Ampersand has deleted their Tumblr, restricted their Discord, and removed most servers.

Why: Harassment. I'll just show my favorite quotes:

Concordia: On March 15, they announce a small hiatus. See the official post here.

When: They have not released a statement on when they'll publicly return. They may or may not continue development in the background off of social media.

Why: They said it best.

Alternatives: Below are some alternatives for system organization. Click the names to be taken to their websites.

PluralKit: The most known system proxy bot. Has a discord interface that I very much enjoy, and a web app, though I don't think they have a phone app. Allows you to group alters, add colors, write bios, etc.

Tupperbox: Primarily used by the roleplay community for RP bots, but Systems do use this for Discord proxying. Similar features to PluralKit.

Obsidian: Obsidian is a free, open-source note-taking software that allows you to create notes that are saved in markdown format on your local device. You can choose to set up an online sync or pay for expanded storage, but you can also sync that folder to other storage software (like Dropbox, Microsoft Office, Nextcloud, etc.) if you want to have access from multiple locations. Obsidian allows you to map graphs of your notes (maybe to make a system map) as well as add notes to a calendar (such as to log front history), and add properties to different notes. You can also make & access multiple vaults if you want multiple systems separated, or just to keep your system map separated from personal notes.

Ourcana: There's a pros and cons post here on Reddit. I do not have experience with this application. Supposedly there's an app, join their Discord for more information.

Hivemind: There's another post from Tumblr of pros and cons here. Allows imports, is offline, PC + app.

We are taking a look at the site and on initial inspection we liked it, but we have seen other people who are suspicious of it because the only other mention of it has been an otherwise blank blog.

This has resulted in us deleting our own reblog previously + we would exercise caution around this website until there's more of a track record. Use an email that isn't as important and take precautions on what you do/do not add to this website if you DO choose to use it, etc.

(Our opinions on it potentially being AI-based is "all technology can be used to shitty AND non-shitty ends" but we can understand that being a turnoff for a lot of people, and we saw this mentioned maybe once.)

Preface: i'm 26, i've had high blood pressure since I was 19 and have had multiple syncopes... I've done so many tests and haven't found shit to figure out exactly what's causing the high blood pressure or my dizziness or fainting (which started before i took blood pressure meds)-- haven't even found evidence I have POTS, which honestly was my closest guess until I took the tilt table test.

So anyway, I really need a new cardiologist. I have needed stronger blood pressure medication lately, and the current solution has been to combo my current blood pressure med with a small addition of a new one. And this new combination made me nearly pass out the first time I took it. Since I happened to have x1 beer that night, the doctor insisted I keep taking the blood pressure med combo and just not drink with it.

Here's the thing, I've had no issues with interactions with alcohol and the blood pressure meds I was on before the addition, and even called my cardiologist's office to make sure the addition they put on my blood pressure meds wouldn't up the interaction risk. I was trying to be responsible, and they said the risk shouldn't have been any higher than what it was with what I was already taking.

Maybe it's partially my fault for not giving my body a few days to adjust, but to be honest it might've happened either way anyway, and I don't trust a medication that shows severe side effects on the first day.

So, I pointed out that certain blood pressure meds have made me pass out in the past even w/o alcohol interfering, and that I would rather not take a medication that so quickly dropped me like a sack of potatoes.

The response I received? Scaring me about how longterm high blood pressure could cause heart failure and that they can't make me take meds, but that I should be taking blood pressure medication... I never indicated at all that I didn't want further medication. I just said i didnt want that specific one.

The kicker? She did suggest a new combo. And it's the blood pressure med that I'm currently on and have had no issues with plus... a blood pressure medication that has caused syncopes for me both times I have been prescribed it in my life.

I see my care coordinator soon, and i'm goning to get help finding a different cardiologist because what the fuck. I hate doctors.

I was gunna put this in the tags but it’s a lot. When i first started going through the process of getting a diagnosis, i was labelled with ODD. I immediately took issue with this, it seemed like an unfair diagnosis based entirely on the session the psychiatrist had with my parents (which mostly consisted of “my child is being really difficult on purpose”), and Hoo Boy when i tell you ODD immediately strips you of your ability to call out anyone on anything, that would be an understatement. I couldn’t even disagree or bring up my concerns about the validity of MY OWN DIAGNOSIS without it being labelled as oppositional defiance. Whenever i displayed any negative emotion the “treatments” did so much more harm than good. When you label someone as ‘defiant’ (ugh), when that word is put on their medical record, that person is never allowed to complain about anything again. Knowing that POC are disproportionately affected with this diagnosis makes me feel sick, i can only imagine what’s being swept under the rug as someone just being “defiant to authority”, not even just in the medical field but as justification for police brutality and mass incarceration. When i say medical racism kills people, this is what i mean.

I cannot speak personal experiences on the racism part, but I just wanted to note I was diagnosed with ODD in the past and it was used to justify domestic and medical abuse. It's one of many labels that can destroy you if it get thrown on erroneously (although imho ODD as a label as a whole is fucking erroneous.)

Anyways I'm so sorry to anyone who has to go through this, especially POC. Y'all have our solidarity.

I am so very serious when I say that minors should have a legal and easily reinforceable right to say "I don't want to live with my parents (or other adult caretakers)/I don't want to be around that person/I don't want to go to that place" and actually get their wish accommodated. Eddie and Volt Watts from Date Everything are Canonically Plural!!

((DATE EVERYTHING SPOILERS! PROCEDE WITH CAUTION!!!))

Eddie Watts is the personification of electrical wiring. He shares this role with another character named Volt Watts. Over the course of the story, you inevitably learn that Eddie created Volt to help deal with electical issues.

There is a tense moment in the story where, to help them both, you have to reset the electricity, which Eddie fears may cause Volt to cease to exist. Thankfully, doing so doesn't destroy Volt! I like this because I feel like, in a way, it validates their relationships as two people rather than forcing Eddie to be one person.

Their dynamics overall are also just generally heartwarming! Volt is very caring towards Eddie, which I think is something a lot of tulpamancers can relate to. It's also a plus that Volt and Eddie are treated as seperate people, and that the fact that Eddie created Volt is only explored in the story later on.

Since they are both the personifications of the same concept and that Volt was created in a way that is very plural-coded, we consider this canonically plural! ^v^

if you claim to have DID and have ever had an ounce of fun, you are lying and should be ashamed of yourself. its a well known fact that the moment you start developing tertiary dissociation your ability for joy and whimsy is immediately viscerated. personally I have not once been jolly since i experienced all twelve of hercules' trials at age 3, subsequently splitting -13 alters (any alter count above this is fakery). Nobody else could possibly have a different experience than me so everyone else is clearly lying. Please stop the spread of this misinformation, "fun" is not a concept that is real in DID. We have to systematically weed out and cyberbully any "fun-havers" in our community to restore purity.
