The problem that lies in the situation that you;re talking about is that it's very very difficult to get away from a power imbalance due from the fact that one has had power over the other for a long time, whether it be by being a parent or an older sibling. Just because both parties are older, even in normal familial relationships, doesn't mean that the dynamics change. Older siblings still tease and have an emotional stronghold, parents still have a mental hold on a child as an authority figure, it's just sort of ingrained into the psyche because of the length of time. I understand that accidental incest can happen, especiallyin the case of one or both parties being adopted and not having known, but it is the principal of the matter and protecting those that are harmed by the romanticization of it, yes, even accidental.
