I don’t usually see much stuff written about the sides being transgender, but I’d absolutely live for it? so i wrote a thingy about trans!Roman and yup, here we go i guess (i am not trans, so if anything I say is incorrect or disrespectful please don’t hesitate to tell me so i can change it)(also, if you know of any writers who create stuff about trans!sides please let me know, I need it to survive).
▪ Tiny 5 year-old Roman already obsessed with every Disney movie ever, wanting to be just like the brave, strong princes he admired and loved so much, and hating how his parents called him their little “princess” when all he wanted was to be a prince.
▪ 6 year-old Roman going into elementary school and being made fun of and bullied for wanting to be a prince and not a princess like every other girl.
▪ Roman not understanding why people looked at him weird when he said he wanted to dress as his favorite Disney prince for Halloween, or why they told him he was “a girl, and girls are supposed to be princesses”.
▪ Him starting to fake it so he wouldn’t see the disappointment in his parents’ eyes and people stopped mocking him. When he was around 9, he stopped watching Disney movies, so he didn’t “feel their influence”. He thought maybe that was the way for him to behave “like the girl he was”.
▪ Everything worsens by the time he turns 12 and his body begins to change, a whirlwind of self-hate and body image related issues inside his mind, resulting in very low self-esteem and a lot of sadness and sleepless nights wondering what was wrong with him and why he didn’t feel good with himself.
▪ The years passing and Roman getting deeper and deeper into the abiss of sorrow he had fallen into. A lot of mirrors were shattered, and the ones that escaped were avoided by Roman’s gaze.
▪ But one day, after he turned 16, everything changed. He found out what being trangender meant while aimlessly searching on the Internet and actually cried tears of relief when he realised he wasn’t the only one feeling this way. He proceeded to look more into it and check all of the information he could find about the subject, buying his first binder as a gift for himself on his 18th birthday.
▪ Roman came out to his parents and closest friends, being accepted even if with slight reluctance, and a while later began the transitioning process, finally becoming the confident, strong and unbelievably handsome prince he always wanted to be.
▪ He also managed to catch up with every Disney movie he had missed, and was now able to sing every single song from every movie’s soundtrack (and he did, at the top of his lungs).
