âI mean, at least you learned how to do it, thatâs good!â Elijah said and smiled, nodding slowly as Rafe told him the story. âItâs not crazy, everyone around here has to do it, were you really expecting someone to come into your room and clean your clothes for you? You would have no clothes by the end of the month.â Elijah said, shaking his head. âYouâve been cleaning your room, right?â
âThey donât even do that?!â Raphael was livid. Being expected to take care of his own clothes was one thing, but cleaning? Like a maid? That was the straw that broke the camelâs back. âWell, someone has been cleaning my room. I just assumed the help was doing it. Must be my roommate then. Oh well. I should probably tip him.â Itâs customary in America right? Thatâs what he thought. Every time he went to New York with his mother she made a point of teaching him that Americans expect tips for services.
