Blair ran and ran as fast as she could through the woods. She looked over her shoulder, almost running in the Evan in the meantime. She stopped after a moment looking at him worried, and kind of scared. “E- Evan?! Y-You gotta.. get out of here” she said, puffed out. “Hunters, are coming” she said to him grabbing his hand as if she was about to pull him away before standing behind him as he pushed her to get behind him. She watched as the Hunters came running out of the tree line. The men smirked at the two. She noticed how the Hunters decided not to walk away. Instead they prepared there guns, and knives. Ready to attack the pair.Â
Dylan raised a brow as the girl called him Evan, rolling his eyes and letting out a sigh. “Not Evan blondie, but nice try,” he answered, pulling his hand out of hers and squaring his shoulders as the hunters didn’t back down. “Now leave, I’ll deal with them,” he said, glancing back at her before taking a slow step forward. “What is with you people underestimating me?” he said with a cruel chuckle. It was as if he was playing a game with them, and in some ways, he was. A cold smirk pulled at the boys lips as he narrowed his eyes and focused on a hunter standing at the front of the group. His eyes blacked over as he crept his way into the man’s mind, a process he knew was painful, and the earsplitting scream that escaped the man confirmed it. The mans hands flew up to cover his ears as blood tears spilled from his eyes, but Dylan didn’t let his gaze go for a long minute before he finally blinked and looked up at the other men. “Who’s next?” he asked tauntingly.Â
Cassidy watched as he chuckled “I’m not trying to compete with you Dylan.” she looked up at him “I’m not trying to convince you that my life is more horrific than yours.” she shook her head “I don’t want your sympathy  or any of that bullshit..” she muttered “We have both done awful things Dylan. That’s life. That’s what people do..” she nodded “You wanna talk about feeling nothing.. you wanna talk about darkness?” she asked “I would kill to feel just a fraction of pain of longing or happiness or just something.. fuck… anything” she looked up at him “But you know me.. don’t you? So i guess you’d already know that” she couldn’t help but laugh, though there was nothing at all humorous about their conversation. “You don’t want to talk to me? Then fine. Don’t talk to me. Maybe then i might feel just a fucking ounce of disappointment.” she hissed “Good fucking bye, Dylan” she brushed past the boyÂ
Once again Dylan remained silent as she spoke, shaking his head as she brushed past him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, his hands balling into fists at his side. As he exhaled the breath, a strong gust of wind blew over him and past him towards Cassidy, and the demon smiled softly as it ruffled through his hair. Although he couldn’t control the wind anymore, it was extremely soothing to feel it against his skin. At first it used to anger him that he couldn’t control it, but there was always just something about air that calmed him. So taking a small breath he opened his eyes, and without looking back started walking off in the other direction.Â
Kai laughed. “I don’t know. Maybe give me a cross word or sudoku or something. Just helpppppp.”
“Cross word or sudoku? Dude that’s so fucking boring,” Dylan laughed.Â

Blair wondered through the forrest, the sun was due to rise in an hour or more a bit more but with her backpack strapped to her back she set off to find her way out of ivory tower. She hummed a soft angelic tune, as if she was warning anyone else in the forrest that she was there. The last thing she wanted was for a vampire or wolf to come and rip her apart just as she would step of the boundary line.Â
She walked a few hundred meters before she heard a voice speak to her. “Hello beautiful” Blair quickly turned around and looked the much older man up and down. She knew what he was right away– he was a hunter. He waiting along the boundary line to capture of the the supernaturals and cash them in for a little bonus. Blair looked at him wide eyed, before quickly turning around and sped off the direction she had been walking in. “Why must they always run?” the man said, before motioning his men to run out after her. Blair continued running, glancing over her shoulder every few seconds to look at the men chasing her.Â
Dylan needed air, and while there was plenty of it in Ivory Tower, something about being in an underground town made him feel oddly claustrophobic. He barely glanced at the security guards by the main entrance as he walked out, feeling like they were judging him for leaving. But he really didn’t care. As he walked through the forest on the outside of town, the first thing he heard was heavy footsteps. Turning his head in the direction he walked quickly until he found himself in the path of a blonde girl. “Woah, slow down there,” he said, reaching out to stop her. Literally a few seconds later though, he heard other footsteps, and his face immediately fell as he looked up at the approaching men, pushing the girl behind him. A cold expression settled on his face as they stopped in front of him, his eyes darkening and narrowing dangerously. “If you know what’s good for you, you’ll walk away.” he said lowly, the words soft, but powerful as they drifted over to the men.
The second he was staring down at her, Her eyes begged her to look elsewhere. To break contact with his. It was all too painful for her. Everything was so fucking painful. But that? That was her prison. It was what she had always known she was destined to feel. It wasn’t new. It was familiar. Her eyes snapped shut when he began to speak once more. “Stop it.. Stop..” she whispered, shaking her head. “I didn’t think Dylan..” she whispered, looking back up at him “I knew, I knew it would all fall apart.” she swallowed, hand moving up to gently rub her forehead. “I had no problem trusting you..” she shook her head “It’s not you i didn’t trust.. It’s me i don’t trust Dylan.” she let out a deep sigh “It was never. Ever about you. It’s never been about you” she had to take a step back, the proximity was too hard for her. “I’m so.. so much more fucked up than you could ever see. Than you would ever choose to believe” She nodded “I’m a trainwreck Dylan.. A trainwreck hidden behind a phoney smile”Â
Dylan rolled his lips inwards again as she spoke, keeping his gaze low. Her last sentence made him chuckle slightly. “And I’m a demon.” he said lowly. “It doesn’t matter anymore, anything we felt, anything we did. None of it matters because I’m not me. I never will be. You think you’re fucked up.. I’ve done terrible things to people, and the worst part is, I don’t regret any of it. The only thing I regret is what happened to Charlie, but all the people I hurt after that- I felt nothing. I feel nothing. My head is such a dark place. It’s so god damn dark. So I think.. it’s for the best.. that we’re in this position at the moment. I know i’m fully capable of hurting you Cass, and I don’t want that to happen, so I seriously think we need to stop whatever we’re doing. No more arguing, no more talking. No more nothing. I can’t leave Ivory Tower, not while Evan and Frankie are here, but I don’t want to see you again Cassidy. You’re better of pretending i died in the crash too. It’s what my family’s done, and it’s the truth. Dylan is dead. He’s not here anymore, and I don’t want to keep talking to you when all we do is end up fighting and hurting each other.” he said, taking a small step back. He honestly believed cutting off all contact was the best thing for both of them, her especially.Â
Cassidy’s eyes snapped shut at the words, shaking her head”Bullshit..” she opened her eyes “You didn’t love me dylan..” She couldn’t help how bitter the words fell from her mouth “You can’t have loved me.. You can’t have.. You don’t even know me dylan! You don’t know who i am..  and you don’t understand..” she shook her head once more “Because if you did.. You would realise why!” she tried to keep the slight bitterness from leaking into her voice again “You don’t even know me..” she whispered “if you did.. You would’ve understood why it wasn’t simple for me..” she nodded “you can’t love someone you don’t even know..” she looked away, wrapping her arms around herself.Â
Dylan stared at her silently as she spoke, waiting until she was done completely and had looked away before he took a small step forward, his hand moving up to tilt her chin up so he could make eye contact with her. For the first time in a long time, his eyes weren’t full of anger, or pain, they had a hint of sadness, yes, but that was it. Eyes the same color as the ocean on a stormy day, green with tinges of blue, grey and silver locked onto her own hazel orbs, holding her gaze there. “You think I don’t know you..?” he asked softly, the old Dylan showing himself way too much for the demon’s liking, but he couldn’t help it. “You were one of my best friends... I knew everything about you, and I do realise why you left.. I know you were scared, I know you thought it was going to fall apart like every other relationship you’ve grown up with, but Cassie.. you just needed to trust us..” he said, his voice still gentle. “But I get it. You obviously could see I wasn’t enough and that we weren’t going to work,” he added with a tiny shrug, lowering his hands and finally dropping his gaze as he looked down at his hands. “I did know you.. and I loved you. Deny it all you want, but it’s the truth.” he whispered.Â
“I don’t know if you remember Dylan.. But i told you okay. I told you from the beginning that this would happen.” she crossed her arms over her chest “I told you i’d hurt and you still..” she shook her head, she couldn’t finish the sentence and frankly she refused to “I know you seem to think this was all super easy for me..” she laughed humourlessly before once again stopping herself. “Forget it, it’s almost easier to be hated by you.”
“I still fell in love with you.” Dylan finished for her. “And don’t give me that bullshit. If it was as hard as you claim for it to be you wouldn’t have been able to do it.” he said, chuckling coldly at her next words, shaking his head slightly. “I don’t hate you.” he said with a shrug.Â
“I am, actually. Please help me.”
Dylan raised a brow and chuckled slightly, lifting his shoulders into a shrug. “Okay, how can I help?”
“Do we really need to be reminded how this all ended last time?”Â
“With you walking out? No, no we don’t. Forget I said anything.”Â
“You look like you’re in need of a bit of fun.”Â
The line between love and hate was so thin and blurred; I began finding myself loving that I hated you and hating that I loved you.

Due to the stress that came along with moving into a new town, Killian had been unable to sleep. Instead, he’d chosen to stupidly wander off into the forest to try and kill some time. At first he was sure he’d been memorising his course of direction, but on his way back to the homestead he realized he was lost. “Fuck…” he mumbled under his breath, turning around and heading off further into the forest without knowing he was.
Dylan couldn’t stand his bedroom. It was too small, to crowded, and he hated being cooped up in general. Being stuck in a secret town was bad enough, but he couldn’t handle being stuck in a room as well. The demon was just wandering around, trying to clear his mind when he heard someone mutter something. Stepping out so the stranger was in sight, he chuckled and raised a brow. “Let me guess, you’re lost?”
“Well okay then. Not all of us can be interesting.”
“I guess not. But I hear there’s plenty of other interesting people around town- maybe you should pester them about it.”
