Aaron Tveit at the premiere of Yen
I am a morning jogger, for me that is just a good start to the day. I love the meditative, the slow, steady breathing. This gives me the feeling that I have more oxygen in the body and therefore can think faster.
.wbuisaac:
I don’t doubt it. Is Kara your… sister?
No, just my friend. My actual sister is Jutta, the one that does handstands in class and clapped when Karen threw up.
.wbuisaac:
Yeah, sorry. I figured, I was only kidding. I’m sure Kara would just make us all look bad, anyway.
Well, she would definitely make Karen look bad.
.wbuisaac:
Well, I haven’t met Kara but their names aren’t too different. Maybe they could switch places and nobody would notice.
No, Kara is very small.
.wbuisaac:
Yeah. I don’t think you can perform even a simple arabesque when you have no idea what you’re doing.
Kara is four years old and she can do a better arabesque.
.wbuisaac:
I have no idea. Maybe she got lost and found her way into our class and was too embarrassed to admit it.
It explains why her form is sloppy and never correct.
.wbuisaac:
That is true. Did you know she asked me what a plié was last week?
Why does she bother attending?
.wbuisaac:
Oh. No, I mean. Of course you deserve it. I know I can’t be the only person to think it, too. I bet even a hungover Karen still knows you’re the one to watch in dance class.
Sometimes I am not even sure that Karen knows what is going on half the time in class.
.wbuisaac:
Not in a… bad way. I just personally think that more people should aspire to be like you. Your talent, work ethic, you know?
That is really nice of you to say, Isaac. I am not sure what i did to deserve it though.
.wbuisaac:
Wait, really? Never? Well, I mean it. I, um. You sort of set the standard around here, you know?
I do? I didn’t realise.
.wbuisaac:
Yes, I guess he is. Oh, um. Just because you’re… I don’t know, I feel sort of stupid. I guess I just sort of look up to you a lot? You’re really focused, and so talented. It’s just so admirable, I think.
Oh. Thank you, Isaac. No one has ever said that to me before.
.wbuisaac:
Yes, I think I am. I think I’d rather have somebody who I know has the talent, than… Having somebody who’s always on time but isn’t good enough? I guess. Thanks, Wilhelm. I hope so. That means a lot coming from you.
I guess your leading man must be exceptionally talented then. Why does it mean a lot coming from me?
.wbuisaac:
That is a good point. He’s our understudy, though, so we already had to get a new leading man. Plus, he’s actually the best we have. He’s really talented, just… Well, it would be nice if everyone else decided the show was actually worth showing for.
So you are sacrificing efficiency for talent? That can be difficult to do. I am sure your sure will be great, Isaac.
.wbuisaac:
Yes. A lot. Our first rehearsal was a nightmare. My leading man was unbelievably late, but even then… He was the only person to show up. It’s almost impossible having one rehearsal with a full cast actually present
Maybe you should just get another leading man. Someone who is more reliable. Maybe then other people will show up if they think they will get a lead role.
.wbuisaac:
Of course Bea said that. No, I’m not… I just like things to be done a certain way, you know? I don’t like… unprofessionalism. I come to rehearsals to rehearse, not sit around waiting for people to show up late.
I do not think that’s a bad thing. Do people show up to rehearsals late a lot?
.wbuisaac:
I mean, absolutely. I’d sort of prefer if we could just rehearse without any fights breaking out, or without Rachel having to fumigate the place, too.
Bea said she thought you were going to start a fight at your own rehearsal. For your show.
