I feel like staff is tempted to implement AI into this site somehow but knows that if they do that whatever good will is left of its dying userbase that fucking hates it will just up and leave

you have to understand that tumblr has a really, really fucking tiny userbase compared to like anything else. the Biggest Posts on here only have like 200,000 notes or more on the high end... that is how many likes a random celebrity's selfie will get on instagram. Just likes, not even comments. Put that into perspective when people talk about how tumblr "died". this site is on life support and staff is terrified of us leaving.
