Pride month is over and i cant sleep so have some quick blorbo lore.

Stinky: identified as lesbian her whole life. Then in her 70s discovers she's also into men (but still prefer women). is perfectly okay with it except for the awkward fact that Marco of all people is her bisexual awakening. she fucking hates it and he must never know. Gender wise she describes herself as a fem woman, but is dressing more and more masc in her 80s (and feeling very euphoric about it).

Marco: never had any thoughts about his gender or sexuality, except that one time he had to fill a form. had to matrix search all the words except for "gay" and "lesbian". checked the "cisgender" box because he is a Manly Man™ and has a M on his papers, and the "pansexual" box because he's down to fuck anyone. If asked he will frown, think very hard about it for half a second, realise he might have a strong preference for men actually, then shrug and go back to smoking.

Mantis: token straight. Sorry lesbians.

Stag: as far as he remembers, he always described himself as a boy (and nobody ever contradicted him about it). So when his magic powers appeared at the same time his puberty started, his body just grew into how he pictured it. It was an unconscious thing. He realised he was trans while reading a biology book, then looking in confusion at his identical twin sister.

Mo Dja: Technically has no gender/sex (dragon master didn't give her any when creating her) but she uses she/her and her metahuman form is always a very feminine black woman. Lesbian, is moved and cries when thinking about women.

Yes. There used to be an elf named Colibri on Marco's team. He died during a job after falling into a pit full of ghouls. The problem is, it was Stinky who pushed him. And Marco saw her.

They never talk about it, but it's something that weighs heavy between them. Stinky constantly wonders why Marco didn't reveal that she killed his former army buddy, and when he's going to use that info against her. As for Marco, Colibri's death is a relief actually, but if his fixer finds out that he didn't tell the truth about what happened, he'll be in big trouble.

That stranger would see Marcus and Dagmar having a violent argument, and in between two insults hear a "you never did the dishes anyways!"

Mantis has a boyfriend. His name is Romain and he is very in love, but also a bit scared.

Mantis, also known as Marie Kern. Early 40s, Swiss.

The bug auntie. She genuinely cares about everyone, brings cookies during the briefings and remembers the birthday dates. Got a problem? Mantis will always try to help you. However, being the Gossip Queen, she is unable to keep a secret.

She loves looking unsettling, and will find any excuses to show off her augmented body. She's also a techno girl, so working in a bikini as a bartender/dancer in a nightclub is the perfect job for her.

Rumored to be a cannibal.

Jumper, also known as Farah Boufarik. French, aged 30 at time of death.

The girl with a loud laugh who packs heavy chrome under her vest.

She was a bouncer at a nightclub. She could usually be found sitting on an old white plastic chair, discussing guns or sex with a colleague instead of doing her job. Even if a fight broke out right in front of her, she would not lift a finger, preferring to watch and laugh instead. Her boss did not care too much, as she had been hired mainly for her looks. Her synthetic muscles and bright pink chromed fists were enough to calm most troublemakers.

But Farah had not gotten augmented just to show off. What she had were the remnants of her former life as a CRS cop. And she longed to use her gear for what it was designed for: hurting people.

So when she was offered to work for a fixer willing to pay her to do just that, she said yes and landed in Marco's team.

The stories I try to write are set between 2070 and 2080. That's a lot of time where a lot of things can happen.

This artwork was an excuse to flesh out Marco's team as I had started to write how he met Stinky during a job. They only had names and a Vibe™. Some, like Jumper, where supposed to die first chapter in but euh... I got attached? I mean, look at her face, she's my baby now u_u She'll just die later.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun giving them faces and looks, my favorite one being Mantis.
