“Let me get you a refill,” he says, “to cope with Tadashi’s passing.” He says it solemnly, before standing up and heading to the kitchen… and then just bringing the whole bottle back with him, settling down, this time nearly on Yifan’s lap as he refills the man’s drink and then hands it back to him with a little, secretive smile.
