Welcome new students to WorldStar Academy; Home of the finest educational entertainment the world has to offer. Like most public schools, this blog will last from September till next May or June (depending on how much material we can cover by then). This blog will contain not only videos but pictures via a detailed description. Think of them like fun facts; but actually fun.

I’ll be covering a mass variety of different subjects ranging from (but not limited to) gym, Art, literature, science, history, and much more. You won’t be disappointed with the results. Plus, at this school, effort and results matter most! So get your pencils✏️, pens🖋and notebooks📓 ready; because this semester: learning just got a lot more interesting!

April 30th, 1900, engineer John Luther "Casey" Jones was heading the No. 1 section of the Illinois Central Railroad's "Chicago and New Orleans Limited" to Canton Mississippi. Down the line in Vaughan Mississippi, two freight trains, No. 83 and 72 on the schedule, were being fit into a passing siding to let the express train by. Unbeknownst to Casey, the No. 72 freight severed a brake hose, locking its brakes and stalling the entire train before all of the cars of the No. 83 freight could clear the mainline onto the passing siding.

Details of how soon Casey was warned are debated, but regardless, by the time he realized what was ahead it was too late to stop in time. He ordered his fireman, Sim Webb to jump, while staying aboard himself to apply the brakes and whistle as a warning to the crew of the No. 83. Casey managed to slow the express train down from 70 miles an hour to 40 before the collision. The engine plowed through the caboose and several boxcars before turning onto its side and coming to a rest. The baggage car jumped the track, injuring a baggageman, but the passenger cars remained upright. Despite some injuries, the only fatality that night was Casey Jones himself.

As the story of Casey's sacrifice passed on into folklore, some details were changed, eliminated entirely, or exaggerated to the point of absurdity. It's easy to forget that Mr. John Luther Jones was just an average working man who chose to lay down his life for his fellow men.

If both sides are fully committed to fighting, the apes from the modern Planet of the Apes trilogy would almost certainly win.

They've defeated trained human soldiers, tanks, and heavily armed militias through teamwork and planning.

The Feral Hogs' Advantages

Thirty to fifty feral hogs are nothing to underestimate.

Adult boars can weigh 200–400 pounds (sometimes more).

They have razor-sharp tusks capable of inflicting serious injuries.

A charging group can overwhelm isolated opponents.

They're incredibly tough and aggressive when cornered.

A few apes caught alone could certainly be badly injured or killed.

The Outcome

If it's:

30–50 hogs vs. Caesar's entire tribe (dozens to hundreds of apes): The apes win decisively. Their intelligence, ranged weapons, elevated positions, and coordinated attacks would break up the hogs before they could overwhelm them.

30–50 hogs vs. a small squad (10–15 apes): It becomes much closer. If the apes are unarmed, the hogs could overwhelm them through sheer numbers. If the apes have weapons and can use terrain effectively, I'd still favor the apes.

30–50 hogs vs. one ape: The hogs win by overwhelming numbers, regardless of the ape's strength.

Overall, the modern Planet of the Apes apes are essentially a disciplined army with human-level intelligence. Against a herd of dangerous but uncoordinated animals, that combination is an enormous advantage.

Verdict: The apes win in most realistic scenarios, especially if Caesar's tribe is fighting together and has access to the weapons and tactics they use in the films.

Seven people died after taking cyanide-laced Tylenol capsules. The killer was James William Lewis. He contaminated bottles in multiple stores across the Chicago area, driven by a desire to extort Johnson & Johnson and gain notoriety. He carefully opened capsules, added potassium cyanide, resealed them, and placed them back on shelves. He was investigated but never charged with the murders. He served time for extortion instead. He died in 2023, taking the full confession with him.

The one who destroys evil risks becoming what they seek to eliminate, crossing moral boundaries in pursuit of justice. Yet the enabler of evil, through inaction or complicity, allows suffering to flourish when they might have prevented it.

In the world of Gods & mankind, wickedness is not in the action alone, but in the heart behind it. One who destroys evil out of vengeance or pleasure is indeed wicked. Yet one who enables evil through cowardice or self-preservation is equally so.

Title: Veggietales

[This is for the original direct-to-VHS series. I will make posts about the other series and things; overall, the series has been going on for 32 years)

Release Date: 1993 - 2015

Synopsis:

The series stars Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, leading a variety of anthropomorphic vegetables as they retell stories from the Bible and parody pop culture while also teaching life lessons according to a biblical worldview.

The videos generally present a moral idea or ethical issue in the opening countertop segment, either through a viewer question or a conflict brought up by Bob or Larry. Usually this is followed by one or more "films" performed by the VeggieTales characters that teach a lesson addressing said issue, with Silly Songs with Larry in the middle.

Silly Songs are generally introduced with a title card and a voice-over saying, "And now it's time for Silly Songs with Larry, the part of the show where Larry comes out and sings a silly song." The Silly Song, if one appears, is usually in the middle of the program, often at a cliffhanger moment or in between two stories.

At the end, there is a closing countertop segment where Bob and Larry discuss the lesson and receive a Bible verse from Qwerty the Computer to provide a biblical reference for the viewer. This is concluded with the program's signature sign-off: "Remember kids, God made you special, and He loves you very much."

My Rating: 10/10

My Reasoning: I LOVE and ADORE the Veggietales so much! I really loved watching these growing up. It is Christian-based, so keep that in mind. I don't feel like it just shoves Christianity down your throat, though. I think the characters are written well, the stories are good, and the lessons are good. The songs are so great too, haha, to this day I still sing some of them at random times. I especially sing "Where Is My Hairbrush" whenever I am looking for something. Personally, I think even if you aren't Christian, you can still enjoy this cartoon.
