Without fail, every time a woman is talking about how she does not want to have children and never wants to be pregnant and how medical professionals, romantic interests and family members keep trying to bulldoze her decision and keep expecting her to change her mind because motherhood is something that is expected of all women and it is abhorrent to think a woman could not desire it, a random mother spawns in the comments to be like “Well, actually, you never know! I didn’t want children and then I got pregnant and I realized I love being a mama and I have five little babies now! Could happen to you! 🥰”

Sister, keep that to yourself or make your own goddamn post, you are ignoring that woman’s central concern and belittling her, you don’t even think you’re doing it. Formerly childfree women who ended up having children and loving it are like detransitioners in the sense that there is nothing inherently wrong with changing your mind about having children or realizing you were mistaken about your gender identity but immediately weaponizing your indecision to tell people that the barriers to healthcare and the violations of their bodily autonomy and the way society ignores that person’s wishes is actually okay because you were wrong. a headcanon is a fact that you have personally made up as an elaboration of canon. it is your invention. e.g. i think morgana and gwen had a teenage lesbian situationship before the events of canon. or, i think modern morgana would love evanesence.

an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.

fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.

these are all different words with different meanings.

Also, for an interpretation to be valid it needs to be based on the text. It cannot just be a vibe. One can disagree on readings of the text, but if someone comes with quotes and/or historical context and you just have vibes, then sorry, your interpretation is inferior and may in fact just be a headcanon.

I was wondering if there was anything you could tell me about cats and taurine/taurine deficiency, or reputable research/resources to look towards? I've been seeing a ton of stuff talking about how a housecat might not be getting enough taurine but it's all from people trying to sell something, which makes me immediately wary of the validity. No pressure, just want to talk to some folks who arent trying to push their products on me with scare tactics

Any commercial cat food with am AAFCO label on it will have sufficient taurine.

Cats are obligate carnivores. A lot of people think this means they can *only* eat meat, but what it really means is that there are certain amino acids they cannot make on their own, and those amino acids are found in meat. They require meat, and in certain amounts, but that doesn't mean they can *only* easy meat and nothing else. These companies are banking on people not understanding this.

This is, however, why cats cannot eat a vegan diet. The only cases of taurine deficiency I've seen was a single indoor-only cat on a vegan diet. Anyone who says their cat did well on a vegan diet is either lying or had a free-roaming cat.

I just Googled the Swedish-Japanese guy in the OP, and according to this interview, his Japanese name was given to him by the master gardener he was apprenticed under:

This is actually how samurai would get new names when they entered adulthood and began serving a new master. The yard is full of young birds and animals, and it is so much fun to watch them. I like the baby appearance almost a bit more than the adult one but I guess it is mostly because I like the diversity. It feels like an honor that their parents decided that this is a safe spot for them to learn how to live. Bonus-tree clip - the Redbellied youngster was not on the ground.
