As much as my young (3 and 6) nephews are… well… their age (loud and rambunctious), they’re also sweethearts. It’s nice to see, if the older pushes the younger a bit too hard, he does his best to help and comfort his brother when he realizes ‘oh, i pushed too hard, now he’s crying’. I haven’t hung out around kids that young since *I* was that young, and it’s interesting to realize how little they know about the world, and at the same time seeing how much they try.

I've been sick lately and having trouble eating because none of the food is appealing to me... but my brother brought me my favorite food this morning. i didn't even know he'd gone to the store. i appreciate him so much

i love myself. i think i can forget that sometimes, i am so critical of everything i do, and i look back at my past self with so many mixed emotions. but i’m here, and i keep trying to be good, and i think that deserves something. i want to be able to see my younger self, to hold her tight, and tell her that i love her.

there’s this one friend of mine who has the prettiest doe eyes.. like I could stare at her all day. she’s so pretty. I don’t know how she doesn’t see it.

This sounds like a lovely concept. In advance, I really hope you don’t force yourself to do massive amounts of asks in the even that you get completely inundated with them. Pls take care of yourself before anything else.

Anyways, I guess it would be a love letter to the people who do practical effects and set design, but one of my favourite things that makes me feel such an overwhelming sense of joy is thinking about and talking to people about filmmaking processes that use practical effects and detailed set/costume design and props. Specifically I love the BTS videos and interviews for Lord of the Rings and seeing the large scale miniatures for sets like Isengard and Minas Tirith, or the costume crew showing such intricate little design details that you don’t even get to see in the movies themselves because of how hidden they are. I think another example would be one that I learned more recently, and that’s the puppetry that was used for Doc Ock’s mechanical limbs in Spiderman 2. The limbs were not CGI animated at all, and it’s so fascinating to me how beautifully the movements and behavior comes across in the movie because of that.

recently met someone and shes the cutest thing ever. we call eachother nicknames and offer to hang out and there isnt a moment in time I dont think about her and it feels nice to get to be so comfortable with someone i met not too long ago for the first time in years. Im hormonal so Im waiting for it to pass before I say anything to her but I hope this feeling doesnt come to pass, I hope even if Im no longer fuzzy and buzzy we will be close regardless because ive come to really care for her.
