Being alone, meditating or reading, is far more rewarding in all aspects than being in the company of people who add zero value to your life. Though it is true I feel a tinge of loneliness occasionally, I find it vastly more unappealing to spend my precious time with those that aren’t positive, progressing or powerful. You can call it egocentric to value my time so highly, but that is the most precious resource anyone has. I don’t look for ways to kill time or make it fly faster. I value every moment. If you have seen enough of the world where people’s dreams have died because they settled for “passing time,” you’d understand the concept.
