âPanâŚâ he whispered out in a soft breath. The thought of Neverland never amused the wizard until this moment. Imagining a place where he never had to grow old, never having to see the world heâd be leaving spiral away into the hands of purist. It was a queer thought, coupled with the alcohol coursing in him, help lift his smile higher into his tinged cheeks. âDepends on how far the flight would beâŚâ he took the flask from the other, smelling the lip of it. Felix has had rum but nothing that smelled like this; which was rich and pungent. Before taking a sip he tilted his head back, thinking swiftly, then replied with the same foreign tongue, âDoes it really matter? Anywhere is safer than hereâŚâ
âAll the world is made of faith, and trust, and pixie dust,â Benji quoted loyally, reciting the words he knew by heart ever since he was a child. They were children in a war torn world over something like blood, and he found it rather strange how so many people were concerned over who was fucking whom. âsecond star to the right, an on till morning,â he mused once more before inching closer to Felix, his watching the ways his lashes cast shadows on his cheeks, and the way light hit his features just right. An adonis of a man that was still a boy, forevermore. âNot as long as you donât leave me behind, donât think i could fend off so many advances from boys without you pissing them off first. besides, every pan needs his lost boy.â
âWell first think that comes to hand is house pride and loyalty, though that isnât very tangible and arguably fallible too.â he replied, the silence in the room only holding his words and the otherâs foot steps. The old potions lab had potential to becoming a solid place to hide for the student, as it was out of the beaten path so others couldnât stumbling in (at least he expected).âPray tell me what is that then?â he smirked, knowing it was impossible to resist the waves of charm that seeped out of Benjen. Felix only fought the boys beauty when it was need, however this moment his guard was down and invitingââI hope you plan to share with the class.â he mused around the empty chairs and dusty bookshelves.Â
âAh yes, house pride and togetherness, hurrah,â Benjen deadpanned with a flair of his hands, a soft giggle escaping him before fixing his eyes on Felix. âWhen it comes to you, I might be slightly biased, but donât quite me on that just yet.â An unfettered smile shined through, as he placed the flask in front of the other. âCaribbean rum, imported.â he winked. Felix was one of the very few boys that he wouldnât dismiss, one of the few that kept annoyingly prancing around in his thoughts with his boyish good looks, but heâd never admit to it. âHelp yourself, just be sure youâre able to walk when weâre done here.â Uncapping the flask he took a small swig, smirking as it burned down his throat, leaning close to Felix before offering its contents to the wizard. âCare to fly away with me to Neverland, Pan? O quizas prefieres otro destino, amor?â
* â° michael provost ; 17 ; he-him ââ wow, benjen fontaine sure has changed. i guess he is feeling isolated from the other ravenclaw members. guess you canât really blame them. i still remember them being so bright & flirty now they just seem stubborn & bratty. guess being a half-blood isnât helping matters much either. iâm hopeful though. theyâll be just fine
Ilvermony, the school founded by a family that came together in American soil, a fledgling witch, a muggle, and two orphaned wizards. The schoolâs origins were truly unique as was the founding of magic and wizardry the united states. The fontaines were one of the twelve families to produce aurors, and all the children had been until benjenâs father. The man had broken the cycle and disdain came from the members of the family who had sought to keep the tradition of a pureblooded family maintaining order and power within this new land.
Plights would not end as the man would also part from the arranged marriage, having fallen in love with someone else a entirely, a mysterious being of whom he never shared the details of to the rest of the family. She was a veela, mysterious, ethereal, beautiful, magical, and even if their love was spurious and it was something the man had chosen for himself, breaking from the shackles of tradition. From this love Benjen was born, a half-breed that would live under the guise of a half-blood. Not long after he was born Benjiâs mother left them, and year after year did Benjenâs father search for the woman high and low, needing to know the reason for her departure.
Growing up as a half-veela was something both Benjen and his father had to figure out together. Having a supernatural child that would always be deemed beautiful by strangers, alluring to many who wanted nothing more than to wash the boy in compliments and cheers was rather jarring for the young fontaine. Since he was very young he knew of what he was, his father not having concealed it, but he explained of the repercussions of what being a fontaine meant, especially when it came to blood purity.
His first years of wizardry happened in Ilvermorny, being sorted into Wampus, and Benji thought that the next few years heâd spend them with the friends he had made and the professors he was excited to see everyday in class. Life had other plans as Benjiâs father decided to relocate to London, shipping off his son to Hogwarts to go through another sorting process and begin making friends anew while he obsessed with finding the woman he loved.
He watched the way this consumed the man, and the young fontaine prince grew haughty and guarded, taking care of his father during the holidays who refused to sleep and eat as he always thought he was one step closer to reuniting with his love. Benji wondered if this is what veela did, made men fall in love only to leave them in tatters, but Benji remembered the way his father spoke about his mother, about the way she held and sang to him when he was born, so it was a hard to believe she would willingly try to cause harm to her family.
Benji has now spent most of his life at Hogwarts, drinking in whatever knowledge he could about magical creatures to help solve the mystery of his mother. Free his father of torment and hopefully reunite with his family. Boys are obviously a distraction for him as his supernatural allure just seems to bring them in, so he can never get too close, not knowing if they ever truly like him for him, or if itâs his blood theyâre after.Â
âWell this looks incriminating.â speaking calmly to the peer that walked in on him. The same moment they entered, his flask followed as Felix titled it back past his lips. The gin strained past his taste buds, familiar as it was, it still forced him to breath out harshly before musing over to the other. âI wonât tell if you wonâtâŚâ waving the tin between them.
A pause as his eyes scanned the scene before him, drinking in Felix Pacheco entirely as he saw what was left of the man who used to be a house golden boy. âReally but whatâs truly in it for me?â he smiled, the pitter patter of his steps filling the room as he sat across from Felix. âBesides, I think adding this would be better,â he mused as he pulled a tiny flask from his robes, winking over at the male.Â
