Witch Tip

Spells don’t have to be done according to a particular moon phase. If you feel emotionally ready to do the spellwork, do it. You don’t have to wait. Being in tune with yourself is magick. Honor it.

What I’ve seen other people refer to moonphases, days of the week, oils and crystals as ways of powering up your own energy. 

If you want to do a simple focusing spell for school, and have a pair of yellow and blue candles with cinnamon, every little extra thing you use in the ritual counts as a tiny battery pack towards your intention.

But like I’ve also seen before. If you can’t perform a spell on a specific moonphase, on the most powerful day, with the exact type and color of herbs and candles corresponding to the spell, your energy should be enough to do the job. But the results might differ slightly!

My point is correspondence and moon phases aren’t essential for effective spellwork.

I’ve done spellwork (especially curses) without ANY supplies and based it on how I felt in the moment. I weighted pros and cons and decided to act. Using supplies is great but if you don’t have access to supplies, your concentration, imagination, and intention will do the work for you.
