“I gave wrap gifts to everyone, and on set we were all laughing and people were thrilled to give them, they would give anything the Joker would give, that was the idea. And, I didn’t even really put them together basically. It was my team and my assistant, and we were all having fun with it. […] And, for us it was almost like an art project, we were all putting stuff together in the trailer and to see it manipulated and taken out of context and to be made this really horrid thing and have people speak about it like it was offensive when it was anything but [offensive]. It was in good fun and light-hearted and everything that it should’ve been. But, that’s the world we live in.”
