the fact that rdj improvised so many iconic tony scenes where he literally embodies another person and all their hidden feelings makes me think he sometimes does it outside of movies. like his wife would say something about him not paying attention and he’d go “sorry honey i was just thinking about what that bitch of a team did to my self esteem even though i was Fucking right, technically” and then they both stare at each other for a moment before he realizes hes not like, actually tony stark for real
