I sat on EITIW for two months, and… decided that Drown, Flame and Alone are DEFINITELY about Britney.

I’m pretty sure all the critics wanted Justin to address Britney’s book in his new album and gave him bad reviews because he decided to step away from any further drama. The thing is, he DID address Britney in EITIW. It’s just that he has been singing about her for so long that everyone just assumes he wasn’t singing about her anymore 😂😂😂

The stuff he sings in EITIW are mostly the same stuff he has been singing in previous albums (except Memphis and Conditions, which are introspective monologues about himself). He’s pretty consistent about it, you can give him that.

Drown is an evolved version of Blue Ocean Floor, Flame has similar lyrics to Only When I Walk Away and Alone is similar to Amnesia with the violins (but way sadder).

So Justin once again confirms that Mirrors was written in 2008… he said in his recent IG video that he sat on Mirrors for 5 years, and 20/20 part 1 came out in 2013.

The lyrics have no business being about Jess, lmao.
