"I think you really need to chill out for a second and turn down the emo mix. I care about you Damon, but this is isn't all of you. I hope you realize that sooner rather than later."

Elena decides to drop the bottle on the ground, faintly noticing as it shatters into a million pieces.

Wake up Elena, or will you still be saying that as you help him jigsaw the bodies.” For once his tone was honest, the expression on his face was almost angry, he’d known his brother was trying to change but he’d seen this before, more then once, how he’d managed to drag Elena in this far Damon couldn’t truly fathom he only hoped to give her a large enough dose of reality as not to see his younger sibling with rose-colored glasses any longer. “Love him all you want Elena, he’ll destroy you faster then you all assume I will.”

Damon liked to lash out when he was hurting, even if it meant hurting her. He wasn't innocent; none of them were. "I care about him Damon, just like I care about you. I came to find you here."
