“Under the assumption love is dead”; it’s honestly sad to think a person can genuinely feel like this, but realistically it was more than just a lyric for Jah, it was a heartfelt statement. Over the years there’s been a few people I thought were genuinely down for me, and they’ve also been the same people I’d have never expected to do the unexpected, that shit hurts to be honest. Jah shared a lot of things with the people he reached out to, and one of which I can relate to on a spiritual level ; he forgot what it felt like to love or be loved, and so did I.
