â Thatâs definitely NOT what I was trying to do. â
me: i want to make another museâŚ
my inactive muses:
fiightsback:
â itâs NEW YORK, iâd be more concerned if they were standing around in silence. â
â Then I guess we should help them, shouldnât we? â
â Should I be worried that there are ten screaming people here or-- â
pnishr:
Frank nodded. Everybody had a gimmick these days. Stark had that ridiculous iron suit of his, Matt Murdock looked like a regular devil out there, and then there was Captain America with that shield of his. Compared to them, Frank Castle was an ordinary Joe cleaning up the streets of his neighborhood. No Hydra agents to fight, no ninjas to kill. âMy late wife, buon anima, used to say the same thing,â Frank replied as a wistful smile passed along his face. âSo, let me try this again. Hi. How are things going down there?â
She starts to set up her coffee to be drinkable, playing around with the the tiny cup of creamer after sheâd put it in. Colleen is starting to question the reason sheâs here. Itâs just not a normal thing to come and seek Frank freakinâ Castle out just to say hi but... hm. Sheâll think of the reason later. She raises a brow at him as she stirs everything together in her tiny mug. âThatâs a little better. Iâm fine, Frank. How about you? Not too lonely out there for you is it?â
untolikeiron:
Danny looked at her and held her eyes when she said he had a home now, a sincere, grateful smile on his face. Â âYeah.â He agreed, with just as much genuine gratitude in his voice. Â That was one thing he was good at, genuinely expressing thanksâ even if the eye contact and sincerity sometimes made others uncomfortable. Â âYouâre right. Â I do.â Â Thanks to Colleen.
âIâve found that strangers can be some of the kindest people⌠at least they have been for me.â  It was those that he thought he knew that had betrayed him.Â
âBig Al was a stranger, but he was trying to help me.  He brought me food, and offered to help me contact my family.â Not that he had any family to contact. âStrangers arenât so badâ especially not if you know how to defend yourself, just in case.âÂ
The amount of affection she feels coming off of Danny makes her feel... fuzzy. And warm. And just all around good, calm, and just generally nice. âYeah,â she agrees as she continues to smile at him, deep brown eyes holding just as much warmth in them. Colleen had found herself a home with him as well. She just hadnât admitted it yet despite it being glaringly obvious.Â
âItâs probably because youâre blond.â A pause, a light shrug. âAnd kind of cute. Like, totally kissable cute. Or something.âÂ
âAnd then you have myself... and that Harper woman. And Claire. Weâre all good people, right?â
alongclonedaspider:
âYeah, Iâm more of a basics of science guy, not a mechanic.â
âThen shut the hell up if you arenât going to be of any use.â
nogcd:
Clark wasnât too familiar with the names of the people who made other peopleâs lives hell in New York City. Heâd helped out wherever he thought he was useful, of course, but that didnât mean that he knew the code name of every person, every single gang member, or every single crew that worked here. âYeah,â he said after a moment. âI think thatâs what it is. His mother has been going to that church for months and the kidâs been really worried about her. Iâd be worried, too. What is it that The Hand does, Colleen, other than prey on innocent people?â
Sheâd admit that she really didnât feel like dealing with the Hand. They were a bunch of assholes who told people lies out the ass. She grumbles softly to herself, letting out a huff with absolute annoyance. âTheyâre basically a group who will do anything and everything to get people under their thumbs. They will help you fix your problems but at a price. You know, the usual with a cult like them.âÂ
untolikeiron:
Actually that wasnât a half bad idea.  Sure, Luke and Misty might be out, but just because they were off doing their own thing didnât mean Danny and Colleen couldnât still hang out (or had Misty gotten Colleen in the break up? It sure felt that way most of the time).Â
âWellâ why couldnât we?  I meanâ if youâre doing your own thing, and Iâm doing my own thingâŚ. Luke and Misty are probably out, but the Heroes for Hire has never just been about us four,â Given that Misty and Colleen had hijacked the name when theyâd been working for Tony Stark during the Civil War incident, Danny was pretty sure Misty at least got no say on what they did with the Heroes for Hire brand from here on out.Â
âSo why not? Â We could do it as a side gig- you and me, Heroes for Hire.â
Part of her is very sure theyâre going to team up at some point. It was something that was inevitable. Theyâd always been a team after all - whether their other friends were here or not. Colleen just didnât want to admit that it was going to happen ( whether today, tomorrow, or the next, she didnât know ) without the rest of them.Â
Ah man, being a secret sap was hard not to let show on her face.Â
âYeah, I know,â she hums out, trying not to be in denial about that one. âI just... I dunno. Eat your food Danny. We can think about having a proper team up when weâre not coming down from a fighting high.â
On Tamaran we appreciate the past. We respect it. But we donât live there. We live here. Now. In the moment.
crushedjewel:
âYeah mostly to assert my dominance. Working?â
â What does it look like to you? â
crushedjewel:
âOh, sorry. I guess nobody warned you I have a HEAVY hand.â She lifts the detached doorknob of the dojo as a peace offering. âYou can put it on my tab.â
â What the HELL! Do you do this to every new place you go, lady? â
      â Oh COME on! â
crushedjewel replied to your photoset: it me :Y
I love your hair!
aaahhh thank you!!Â
pnishr:
âItâs not too weird. Itâs just unexpected,â Frank replied as he took a sip of his coffee. He was itching for a cigarette, but heâd be damned if he smoked in here. The city had put up that non-smoking ordinance three years ago and he would be fined if he did. âAnd I didnât mean to make an ass out of you and me. Iâve just been hearing things, reading things in the papers, a lot of sightings of a red clad woman with a sword, so I thought thatâs why you were here.â
âWell get used to my presence, Castle.â When the waitress came around again she ordered herself a cuppa as well. A few seconds later it comes her way and she thanks the woman before putting her attention back on Frank. She tries to smile, despite being slightly annoyed, âThatâs your special power - you make everyone an ass around you. No, I came by to say hello. I didnât come here to talk of a woman in red.â
