jacks smiled and hugged her to his chest while they talked, “yeah i didn’t like her either. she said she knew me but i don’t think i’ve ever seen her before. it was weird,” he frowned and shrugged a bit. “don’t you worry about it,” he winked and kissed her forehead. “i think i just wanna lay down with you,” he said honestly. “i’m sure shaun can go party on his own or with aubrey,” he murmured and rested his forehead against hers before kissing her nose. “you up for that?” jay whispered.

aubrey kept to herself but greeted everyone. after introductions she got the little pup and extra bag from the car and brought their stuff to their room. she likes keeping busy. when they sat together their doggy laid between aubrey’s feet on the ground in front of them. aubs concerned herself with kylie while shaun did the talking. the redhead did her part in the conversation but wasn’t all that into it. she didn’t really know these people and she didn’t really wanna be here, she knew his parents were gonna be here and she hated it. but she was committed to shaun and didn’t mind making these kinds of sacrifices for him. he’d do the same for her.

when they got off the plane, no one was there to greet him. he didn’t expect anyone to so he wasn’t let down yet. he knew the address they were all meeting at tomorrow but tonight, his uncle was welcoming them to stay at his house in his guest room. he drove to the address and knocked on his uncles front door. when the man opened it, it was no doubt they were related. he just looked like an older version of shaun. and he was as fun too. “hey shaun, my man.” he said, giving him a high five and then pulling him into a hug. “it’s been so long you motherfucker!” as soon as he saw the baby, he let out an ‘oop’. “sorry, forgot you popped out a baby shaun.” he played with her chubby cheeks before looking up at aubrey. “you’re the girl that he settled down with?” he asked with a large pause before turning to shaun. “it was worth the wait for this prize.” he smirked, knowing all about his habits and his lifestyle even though he barely saw him. inside was his aunt, and cousins. one was 20, one was 16, 9, and 4. this side of the family, shauns mom side, loved him.

aubrey just followed shaun. he knew where he was going and what he was doing and this was her first time here so she just walked behind him like a little puppy. seeing this older guy that looked so similar to shaun her brows raised a little. definitely related. “actually i popper her out,” she shot him her award winning smile. “in the flesh,” aubrey chuckled softly. she easily put up an attitude around strangers. even if it was shaun’s family she had her walls up high. aubs shook her head a little and grinned.

he smiled a supportive smile to his girlfriend before calling for his sisters, who slept in the finished bar/man cave basement last night. they came running up with suitcases, more excited than anyone to possibly see their parents. ( it’s never for sure. they’re unpredictable ) and all the family they’ve either never met or met when they were really young. there had to be a big announcement because his family doesn’t just ‘get together’. they left almost immediately to the airport and made it there exactly as planned with no delays. his sisters clung to his hips and his baby whining at times to be held by daddy for five minutes before passing her back off consisted of the entire trip. but luckily, kylie didn’t even shed a tear on the plane ride.

jackson was up there taking pictures with everyone who paid for the meet and greet. he liked meeting his fans, they were all so sweet and cute. when it was makenzie’s turn jackson didn’t recognise her at all. she was from that phase. he barely remembered any one from that phase. the male took a picture with her, “you excited for the show?” he asked the two while signing her friend’s picture. “want me to sign anything?”

He ordered them two separate small pizzas since they liked different toppings on their pizzas. after ordering them, he slipped off the couch and off of aubrey’s lap to cuddle up against his baby on the floor. she was already half asleep and the puppy had gone to go get some food. it was easy to see how comfortable she got in her fathers arms so quickly and by the time their pizza had shown up, kylie was knocked out against shaun’s chest.

aubrey smiled at the two most important people in her life. she loved then with all her heart and she never wanted this moment to end. it’s the best feeling ever to have two people who love you unconditionally. even if nothing about it is perfect or if it isn’t completely healthy. it’s still a really great feeling for someone who’s never had anyone love her before. when the pizza arrived aubs got up to pay for it so shaun didn’t have to move and wake kylie up.

aubrey couldn’t be happier with how her little family was doing right now. she never saw herself in this position. at least not for another ten years and not at all with shaun. but right now she wouldn’t want it any other way. she felt happy with herself and her life and she wanted to keep it this way for a very long time. “i dunno babe,” she murmured, “we still have ribeye in the fridge,” she mumbled softly while playing with his hair, “and tagliatelle,” aubs told him, “or we could order in,” she was also watching finding dory, not as intensely as kylie but she was quite into the movie.  

shaun sighed kind of obnoxiously as she offered food he really wasn’t in the mood for. he stared at the ceiling with his golden eyes and laid comfortably in her lap as he did so. his little family was far from perfect but the two of them always viewed it as just that. compared to their families, kylie was blessed with how great her parents were. maybe not together, but to her. shaun was glad he could give up most of his addictions for his baby. “what about if i order pizza?” the bored and hungry boy offered. he was just as much of a child as kylie but it meant he was comfortable. shaun never got to be a child so he lived through his old soul of a girlfriend.

“i have been in and out of meetings and rehearsals and sound checks,” he murmured and kissed the top of her head as he curled up next to her, holding her to his body. “do you want me to get  doctor for you? i can have one here in an hour, baby,” he mumbled, pushing strands of hair out of her face and smiling sweetly. he just wanted to make sure she felt okay. he hates seeing her like this. all sick and weak. especially now that she’s pregnant.

breanna smiled sweetly up at her boyfriend who was showing her a lot of love and attention due to her not feeling well. “no.” she said softly, the smile still on her plump lips. she knew it was just the pregnancy and knew her mom was the same way -- according to her father. it was genetics and no doctor could fight with genetics. bree knew this was going to last a while and the last thing she wanted was for jackson to constantly be worried about her. “i’m okay baby, promise. focus on you. your tour.” she suggested sweetly. leaning up to press a kiss to his prickley chin.

shaun let the puppy run into the home she had already visited briefly. kylie was already obsessed with her, following her around and pouting when she ran up the stairs since she was incapable of climbing the stairs. even crawling was a bit too unstable for her. so shaun smiled, picking her up and pretending to fly her up the steps to find where the puppy was exploring. shaun knew they were all happy and for the first time in a while, he felt okay.

aubrey watched them with a smile on her face. they were both really adorable. shaun was truly the best dad she had ever seen. he did his best every day, he completely changed his life style for his baby and now his girlfriend. they were happy together and they were in a good place as a family. as they played together aubs sat down on the couch and took her shoes off, relaxing in the tv room.

hours passed by and shaun finally was relaxing on the couch with aubrey. his head was resting in her lap and he was playing games on his phone while their baby and new puppy were cuddling on the ground. kylie was under a blanket with a pacifier in her mouth as she watched finding dory on netflix. she was so easy to entertain and she loved her new dog that she got to use as a pillow as she enjoyed her movie. this is what a family was supposed to be like. “what’s for dinner?” shaun asked, yawning and rubbing his tired eyes.
