sweater

He knew it was dumb. Walking down the streets of Paris, Fleur and Louis were talking a few weeks after her youngest boy turned 16 and she smiled at him in his punk looking grunge clothes. She hated this little transition as it seemed like her wonderful little boy was getting muddled into a man and it all just happened too fast. She spotted the sweater that read ‘BEST AND FINEST’ and it was the simplest most beautiful way to let her little rebel know of his worth. “That is the most pretentious sweater i’ve ever read.” Louis scoffed, tugging on the chains of his jeans before he was quickly hushed and maneuvered in to try on and ultimately get (and begrudgingly stare at for six months until his style switched up) that damn sweater. Now, it was his a part of his aesthetic and without deep meaning, it had a special memory that attached it to his mother, Fleur. He often tried to make his life seem more dramatic than it was, and this shirt showed that despite it all, his parents are and have been always accepting.

on the surface, louis seems like an impenetrable wall. with sturdy branches, he reaches tall with his fingertips slicing the clouds. he’s never been afraid and that’s what is his true fear. the potential he sees within himself; freaks him the fuck out. because with their predecessors achieving absolute greatness, what if he’s meant to live a life of mediocrity? what if his biggest contribution to this world is finding beauty in spell crafting. his woes burst colliding with his organs while anxiety fills his lungs like a swelling balloon. this is his secret to bare, because of the shame he feels for not feeling good enough and not living up these standards.

the youngest child / only son of bill & fleur and he’s the quintessential one-eight old school punk veela turned fuckboy. ama.

so he’s low-key obsessed with teddy lupin because of his/her/xyr (um i’m not sure what teddy’s preferred gender pronouns are) metamorphmagus tendencies. he was 12 or 13 and once he saw that teddy could just change his appearance, he’s been dying his naturally blonde hair brunette ever since. a lot of people ask him why he’s not blonde or a redhead  but he just shrugs and says the wizard equivalent of “hashtag blessed.”

he has a slight french inflection when he speaks thanks to his mommy dearest. at first he forced it because he thought it sounded p cool but then it just became a part of him and he really has no idea how to turn it off without consciously doing so.

he is a literal (jk) garbage disposable. this boy can eat and he has no problem with his massive appetite. he’s always snacking during class or eating on some kind of pastry. he has no idea why his metabolism is so high considering he can inhale 3000+ calories per day. his mom says it’s because he’s one-eight veela but it’s merely speculation.

louis grew up in beaubaxtons and a part of him wished he was with all his cousins at hogwarts. being surrounded by his sisters and the overall cattiness of beaubaxtons, louis romanticized the thought of going there and even pleaded with his parents where fleur adamantly refused. because of this, louis went through a very rough nine-month phase where he dressed in black and mimicked the emo/punk fashion of some of the muggles he had seen. a year before he left for fleafarths, he ditched the garb and found himself as a true #fuckboy.

he’ll fuck anyone. he’s very sexual and his veela charm probably does nothing but give him a nice aesthetic so the rest is a faux courage thinking he just exudes charm and sex appeal. he does get around tho and he doesn’t do relationships. after watching his sisters, he’s fine not dealing with the crazy mess called love and everything love adjacent. 

he’s not very good at spell crafting but the very thought is what drew him to it. the creation of magic, incantations and working on something uniquely himself is what is driving him toward graduating and not switching majors.
