I wasn't going to make a post about this because I've seen a few, but fuck it I can't take it anymore. This is a TV show and in like any other form of media everyone is allowed to have an opinion. You are allowed to like it, dislike it and you are allowed to share your opinions. What you are not allowed to do is go off and start insulting people and telling them they are wrong and you are right just because you disagree with them. I'm going to break it out to you: it's an opinion and it's fucking subjective, so calm down. I see a lot of posts and opinions that I don't agree with, but that doesn't mean I fill the person's inbox with hate, calling them slurs just because I don't agree with them. There is the unfollow button, use it! All I'm saying is that spreading hate and insulting people is really not okay and it's definitely not what skam is about, so fuck you, take a reality check and be kind.

If you click on the link it tells the sender your IP address which tells your location, they can use that to dox you (leak your address). They are also sending videos/pictures of gore. Do not open new DM requests, especially ones with pictures/videos/links in them. They can’t hurt you at all if you don’t open the pics/vids/links.

i just got around to watching the new skamfr clips- dont judge me i was binge watching haikyuu for two days straight and then she ra had a new season which i sobbed at the ending but ANYWAY these have been some decent clips. Elliot is being his usual angel self, Maya is just- i take it back i love her, but we getting into the main MEAT of it now and honestly i just want Daphne and Lucas to be happy

I think romantic love is just an easy way to use as motivation for the main character. I think S3, because its a coming out story, it makes the most sense. But honestly, I'm sure you could write S1, S2, S4, and S5 without it. But people do anything for love; it makes us question our beliefs (S4), maybe our moral authority (S2), and obviously confront the truths about ourselves (S3). We're a lot more cynical nowadays, so I'm not sure it's something that everyone can empathize with sadly.

sorry for the late response, not sure what i can add though 😂 y’all make a great point, but personally i think a whole story with love thats less romantic and more platonic would be a good change.

I find the writing this season particularly weak, especially with the relationship between Eliott & Lola. They met twice and he’s acting like they known each other for a year. What the hell? And the whole let’s befriend a 16 years old out of the blue. If it wasn’t Eliott, everyone would hella suspicious. It feels forced and unnatural for now, I hope it evolves positively. What do you think?

i actually agree with you. eliott after season 4 has kinda become a bit... weird. i think they just thought, ‘hey! everyone loves eliott, so lets include him in this season so people will be blinded by our bad writing skills bc he’s there!’. so they just kinda.... pushed them to be friends in a really awkward way. im lolas age, and if a 20 year old man started pretending to be my friend after 2 interactions i think i’d be a bit freaked out. regardless if he knows my sister or not.

I really really wanted a season (not necessarily this one because representation /is/ important) that wasn't focused on the main's love life. I hate the idea that once you find a bf or gf everything starts falling into place and most of your problems go away. so many tv shows promote that and skam is no exception.

exactly!! honestly season 5 should’ve been the one where he ended up single (lets be honest alexia & noee deserved so much better than that), and people think its just blatant lesbophobia that we want a single main. i’m a lesbian,,, and im single. it’s not out of this world that we can have a lesbian AND single main.

well a character with the same sexuality as me is one thing i actually like about season 6. but uh... where’d i say i didn’t want that 😂

This season isn’t just for lesbian representation though, while it’s nice to have it, it’s also about lolas progress and how she deals with grief and addiction. Not everything has to be compared to season 3.

i already know its not only about lesbian representation, and i was one of the people that didn’t hate the idea of a single season and wanted the main focus to be her grief and mental health even before i found out it was another lgbt season.
