Except, Lohen is pretty much in love with her since he first saw her when he first got accepted into the knights and Reader is Varka’s daughter and Reader is a deaconess on the Cathedral, and Lohen finally saw her again after he was gone for many Years because he is accompanying Varka on his overseas expedition, thank you ^^

i feel like a deacon(ess) reader with lohen would be cute tbh... even as children, lohen had always been captivated with your healing capabilities. he would sometimes purposefully leave his appearance slightly "dirty" after hunting some monsters just so he could see you fuss over him
lohen would never make you worry bullets aside from teasing purposes however! he would never forgive himself if he sees reader crying because of him.
this happened once where he might or might not had looked too convincing in appearing "wounded" after another hunt and ended up getting scolded by a worried-half-to-death or even tear-eyed reader.. that night, lohen didn't get any ounce of sleep and was particularly harsher on the unfortunate monsters who looked at him wrong...
would bring you flowers to the church! lohen was never one to really care about what other people say anyway, what matters to him is that he knows who he is and what he's capable of.
when you're on duty, lohen would come to the church with a grin and a bouquet of flowers -- flowers he knew you have always liked even when the two of you were children -- hidden just behind his back. he would give you a small courteous (and suspiciously teasing) bow before handing you the bouquet and kissing your knuckles.
lohen was slightly upset upon having to part with mondstadt -- and most definitely you -- when he has to join varka on his long expedition to nod krai. the night before the expedition begins, lohen stops by your home and gifts you a necklace that he hopes will remind you of him once he's away with your father.
varka totally doesn't tease lohen about this by the way.. he knew lohen would get more extra with the traps once there are no more monsters to hunt if he teases him but his reactions seem to worth more than varka's life..
to the crush hc! lohen definitely yearns for you from far. even as a child, when he was first introduced to you by varka and his parents, lohen had always found you.. beautiful. not just for your healing capabilities, there is just something about you that really attracts lohen like a moth to a flame.
lohen tries to hide his growing feelings by teasing you around. not in the annoying way (maybe, just a little) but more in the "i'll stay glued to your side till you get fed up of me" way.
gets jealous when other kids develop feelings for you. now, lohen totally understands them. hell, he'd wager he understands how it feels more than these kids do, harboring feelings for you for so long. i mean, lohen thinks of you the same way they do!
but while lohen isn't sure if he will one day be able to tell you these feelings of his, that does not mean he'll let up without a fight! if a kid confessed to you? you'll find a very clingy lohen sticking on you just a few hours after. if a kid gave you some flowers? lohen will come back with a flower wreath made from your favorite flowers!
if you ever get fed up of this behavior of his however? you'll have a very sorry lohen -- who swallowed his pride for the sake of not having you angry at him -- hugging you with some excuses of "not wanting to be left by you" and definitely not because he also has feelings for you.
when vice captain lohen returned from the expedition, he immediately bolted on his way to the cathedral, where he knows you're currently on duty right now. upon meeting you again after so long, the first thing that came from him is not the teasing "missed me?" you expected from his usual self.
instead, what came was a vulnerable-faced lohen who quickly threw his arms around you in a tight embrace. for once, you didn't see the stupidly smug grin on his face and what you got was a lohen that has the face you recognized as his "in verge of tears" back when you two were carefree children. the last time you saw this face of his was when he was apologizing and begging for your forgiveness back then when child you were fed up of his unexplained clingy behavior.
having his feelings kept to himself for so long, lohen was one slip away from pouring out everything after so many sleepless nights being spent missing you.
but all that came out from his lips was a small "i missed you."
his conflicted mind was soon soothed after seeing your smile -- the smile he had missed so much, that felt like a ray of sun after the merciless cold in nod-krai. lohen was silent for a beat, until he finally settled his mind. the vice captain still doesn't know when exactly will he be able to confess everything to you -- you deserve the truth after all -- but maybe the time will come as long as he gets to stay by your side.
varka began asking you about lohen too much for your liking with a familiarly stupid smile on his face.
