I've been itching to make an artwork based on Biz's song LoveIt for like half a year now. I designed the outfit back in October but didn't have the time to draw the artwork. Inspiration finally struck!!

500 years of misery, and an eternity to look forward to

my playlist and album art for scara

i finished childe’s for his birthday in 2024, but struggled to finish scara’s art because i felt like my drawing skills weren’t capable of completing it at the level i envisioned.

on the other hand, the songlist itself was rather easy. turns out my favorite character has a lot in common with my favorite types of music, so i was able to just plunder my pre-existing emo playlists to make his haha. the hardest part was rearranging the playlist — i spent over two hours last night going through and shuffling things around. it felt oddly satisfying, like untangling a big knot of yarn..

scara’s playlist follows his story: from his beginnings as a hollow puppet, abandoned for shedding tears in his sleep; to his erratic, resentful years as kunikuzushi; to his desperate search for meaning as scaramouche; to his realization of just how deeply he was lied to, and atoning self-destruction … and then, hopefully, finally peace and a quiet life as wanderer.

a little vent here, Scaramouche had always been my comfort character. yesterday when i was feeling a little low and depressed, i drew this to comfort myself. it actually works, i no longer feel the urge to harm myself. im bad at expressing myself through words but.. im glad that Scaramouche can help me through this. he's only a fictional character but he helped me a lot of times when im feeling stressed, depressed or even suicidal. I'm grateful that he exists
