“Right.” Dean pretended to read the back of a different DVD case, not absorbing the words. “So like, you guys were pretty religious?”
“You could say that. I– I’m not with their church anymore.” Cas flicked his eyes up quickly to meet Dean’s. “I was, hmm, excommunicated would be a good way to describe it. Earlier this year. That’s when I moved here.”
“Jesus. You cut off communication with your family?” Dean couldn’t imagine that.
“Not entirely my choice,” Cas told him. He held up The Thing. “Is this a good movie?”
“Yeah, it’s a great movie. Uh, John Carpenter,” Dean said, taking the box from him again. “The practical effects are amazing, just like– so gross and creepy. Everyone hated it when it came out. So it’s kind of a cult classic. The entire time you are watching, you really feel the paranoia, and the setting is sort of it’s own character. Definitely worth a watch.”
Cas was watching him seriously, paying attention. Dean felt himself get hot down the back of his neck– movies were important to him, an escape where things had a logical system. The ending usually resolved the tension, and even if it didn’t– well, he could always just turn it off and then it wasn’t his problem anymore. There was something embarrassing about being excited around Cas, like he was showing a stranger his soft underbelly. No defenses at the ready. Charlie and Ed were horror fans, so it was easy to talk to them about movies but not everyone understood why Dean got so invested.
“Can you show it to me?” Cas asked, earnestly. Wide blue eyes trained on Dean’s. “I like the way you describe it.”
Dean felt butterflies in his stomach, trying to escape out his throat. “Yeah, uh. Sure."

Summary: "Liar" might be Dean Winchester's middle name, but when a case has him going undercover as Castiel's fake husband at a resort offering romantic getaways for couples, and even hyphenating their surnames, it becomes clear to Dean that he's in over his head this time. The problem isn't that Dean doesn't know how to play the part of the angel's besotted spouse, or what pet names suit Cas best. It's that Dean has no clue how he's going to make it look like it's all an act when he harbours very real feelings towards Cas.
Meanwhile, the angel Castiel finds himself at a loss. Neglecting Dean Winchester's safety at all, let alone in the vicinity of one of Hell's most powerful demons, would be an unforgivable mistake. Danger is close enough that Cas can taste it, and the stench of sulfur permeates every inch of the small town. So why can't he stop getting distracted by Dean's warmth?
Evil is closing in on the small town of Northglenn, Colorado, but it feels like the least of Dean and Cas's concerns. How is Dean supposed to focus on saving the world when he's meant to share a bed, and his own clothes, with the angel best friend he's in love with?

Maybe he should sit down, just in case, because he feels dizzy enough that it wouldn’t surprise him if he ended up fainting.
Electricity sizzles and crackles beneath Dean’s skin as he realises that, for someone who has never cared too much about leading a sinful lifestyle, he’s struggling to come to terms with the fact that he’s horny for an Angel of the Lord.
One who’s a war criminal, a murderer and a honeybee enthusiast, at that, but still. Lusting after an angel sounds pretty blasphemous, even by Dean’s sacrilegous standards.
He’s telling himself that it could've been worse, that it could’ve happened while Cas was standing far too few inches away from him and holding his hands, when the bathroom door cracks open and Cas pokes his head out. Of course he does. Fuck his life, Dean thinks sheepishly, and fuck his goddamned crush on his angel best friend.
“Are you alright, Dean?” says Cas, tilting his head like a rather confused pigeon. “I was trying to figure out which one of these strange buttons turns the water on when I felt a burst of emotion. Did Sam call, or something?”
Or something. Someone put him out of his self-induced misery before he ends up having to explain to Cas that, while the showerhead may remain a mystery, he’s managed to turn <i>Dean</i> on instead.»

Summary: Castiel, the so-called Mill City Butcher, has jumped bodies so many times he can't remember what his original get-up even looked like. But now that his consciousness is transferred into a vintage Good Guy doll from the 80's, well, he's gonna make the most of his time with Dean and really clean house. So to speak.

“Hrnk?” Ash managed to emit from between bloody teeth, before stumbling down the hall toward the bathroom.
Cas followed behind him, a tiny plastic shadow of pure sadistic intent.
Ash reached the doorframe and stopped. Through the pain he was feeling, he could only manage to do one thing. He stared.
The tub was full of sludge. Red and pink and oily, bubbling softly in the steam. Chunks clung to the side while others floated in the foam, slowly dissolving to paste.
Ash opened his mouth to scream but instead emitted a putrid vomit. A thick string of bile hit the floor. But it didn’t stop. It kept coming. And coming. He doubled over, choking, convulsing, but the stream would not stop. He couldn’t breathe. And then, his stomach bulged unnaturally, like something inside him was trying to crawl out. His eyes went wide, then burned red from the pressure, a million burst capillaries.
Cas whispered the final words:
“Jodi a m' mouri poutèt ou... Jou kochon ak woz.”
Ash tried to scream around the wet retching, a burbling hiss escaping his frothing mouth. Then came the rest. His entire stomach lining sloughed out through his mouth in a slop of ruined organs. First his liver, half liquified into a pile of meat resembling tinned cat food. Then came ropes of intestines, threatening to take life of their own and string him up like a noose. A stewy pile of viscera collected at his feet like an offering, organ after organ until nothing was left to spill forth.
Cas watched, reverent.
Ash clawed at the walls, tried to pull himself upright, somehow managing consciousness through the whole ordeal. Cas would have it no other way.
Ash’s spine twisted 180 degrees then, with a sound like a rotting staircase. His legs snapped inward like folding chairs. Then—pop!—his eyeballs burst in a twin spray of vitreous humor, splattering across the mirror with a perfect Pollock flair.
Cas squealed with joy and clapped his hands.
Ash gave one last sputtering wheeze, then detonated.
Chunks of meat hit every surface—the walls, the ceiling, the remains of Jo in the tub. A larger chunk blew backwards and hit Cas in the face. Blood misted outward in a glorious arc, bones clattering to the floor like a game of pick-up sticks that Cas so wanted to play.
Cas stepped out from the hallway, brushed gore from his cheek, and stood in the wreckage of two perfect little deaths.
He looked up at the blood-dripping mirror, the cracked remains of Ash’s skull perched like a crown on the vanity sink, and beamed.
Cas skipped down the hallway on his sticky plastic feet, leaving behind the smallest murder footprints in history. Now that those two were out of the way, Dean would be an easy target. Dean would be his.

Summary: Five years ago, co-stars and best friends Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak had to say goodbye to their long-running TV show. Their on-screen chemistry had crossed over to IRL chemistry, but before anything could happen, Dean disappeared. He turned up in rehab several weeks later and permanently cut off all contact with the outside world.
A heartbroken Castiel tuned into a bitter one. When the entire cast of the show was reunited for a fan convention on board a cruise ship, old wounds resurfaced.
But that wasn't the only reunion on board. Dean had been in hiding for years, and the convention brought him back into the public eye. Someone from his past was planning to use the cruise to take back what was theirs.
Time might pass, but love remains. Will Cas and Dean be able to save each other before it's too late?
