It was all ridiculous, the fact she thought such a charm was real and the fact she thought messing with spiritual ‘enchantments ’ didn’t come with a consequence. That being said, most spiritual enchantments were not posted online for everyone to see and take part in. In the mere minutes since she had woken she had seen nothing but wood panels and posters littering the walls. Locked doors placed on each side of her every few steps. Sarah was lucky enough to fall somewhere clean, no corpses, blood, or even name tags.Blissfully unaware to what lay only a few steps behind the stranger she had just ran into.
In her defense, the last thing she expected the other to be was human, after all, what had just occurred to both of them was completely unnatural and incomprehensible. Removing her arms from over her head she left her defensive state, releasing a relieved sigh towards the other. Seeing the other so content was unnerving, how is someone so happy in a place like this, a deserted building with creaking floor boards and— an unappatising stench that could make anyone, easily, feel sick. What was the source of that smell?
Unlike Sasha, Sarah had no memory of the death and turmoil she had been subjected to in her past life, no memory of the horror she had seen and felt. Sadly, if similar circumstances became apparent here, she would have the unwanted task of re-experiencing them again, from the start with no closure or past experience to help her cope. The stranger stepped closer, her smile not as reassuring as she may have hoped.
Sarah stared up at the other, still relieved more than frightened, pushing herself to her feet as the other spoke. Dusting herself off she offered the other a wary grin. “Sorry for knocking you over— I thought there was somethin’ behind me, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” Hand retreating to the crook of her neck she scratched idly, coming to the thought that she also had no idea.
However, something about the place was oddly familiar when spoken aloud. Something from a ghost story perhaps? “Me either, but I still wouldn’t mind getting out of here, it’s creepy as hell in here. My name’s Sarah.” It was now, somewhat comforting being reassured with company, rather than being alone in here it offered one some grasp on reality. “Now that you mention it—-” She gave the area a suspicious glance, looking to the hallway which she had sprinted up to collide with her new acquaintance. “I’ve lost my friends as well…”
