i've lost all muse for writing. like...i wrote that drabble and was about to tag and post it when the phone rang. and now i just feel like i'm heading for a full blown freak out. for real. i'm...uh. yeah.

nick mourning over a dead judith. listen to this as you read

☠ — ;; He never should have left her alone. He should have held onto her hand, anything. He should have p r o t e c t e d her. But here she was, laying on the ground, a bullet hole in her head from his still smoking gun, looking almost as though she was sleeping. Hedidn't want her to turn, that's why he'd shot her. He couldn't let that happen to her, he couldn't let her become a member of the roving ranks of the dead.

Now as he looked down at her, he felt almost empty. He'd lost so many people, he didn't even know f Luke was alive, but this was worse than any of that. Because although she was bad for him. Although they fought, although they outright hated eachother, and that she was toxic, infecting her way into his being, making him exactly the person he didn't want to be, he loved her. And he just wished he had enough time to tell her. Because now it was too late.

On his knees, he allowed his top half to fall forwards, his head resting on her chest, arms wrapping around her as he cried. He just wanted her back. He needed a second chance. He needed more time to prove that she meant everything to him. Because without her, there was no point in living.

He was alone. The only person he loved in this world laying dead in his arms. Because he couldn't protect her. He might as well have bitten her himself. He'd sentenced her to her death when he'd lost sight of her in the herd. And now he had no one. And she was g o n e.

"Judith, please. Y've gotta come back. I need you. I need you. I need you. I need you."

His head moved, his lips pressed to hers. His mind was filled with all kinds of words that he'd never be able to say to her. But none of them fled his lips. He couldn't speak. She was the only person he could talk to and she was g o n e.
