“Jake’s pretty good at relieving that tension in places that don’t involve Marilyn.”

“I’m sure he is. He looks like he would be.”

“You ever see any dead people?”

“Never. I’d rather not see any, either.”

gillybeanbeckett:

“Wanting adventure and wanting a near death eperience are two different things.”

“Whatever you have to tell yourself. I was just making a suggestion on how you could release some of that tension.”

mrsclaremackenzie:

“I wish that some things were as easy to identify as being a psychic medium because that would be helpful in all cases.”

“I’ve been trying to figure it out for years, and nothing seems right.”

msrhea-dawa:

“Sounds like something you go to a bar to get away from”

“Most days, yes, but with Doc forcing me to take time off, I’ve not got anything to do during the day to keep me from procrastinating on this.”

“Goodness, Hollis. Just goodness. I love Jake and I would love to keep him alive.”

“Well, if you don’t want to be a little adventurous...”

mrsclaremackenzie:

“Ever thought it wasn’t quite…mundane?”

“I have. Quite a lot actually. I don’t know how to tell how or what, though.”

mrsclaremackenzie:

“I’ve been on anxiety medicine for most of my life and it takes that edge off that you might need. Sometimes you need a mix of therapy and medicine to right you all the way.”

“I’m aware. I just don’t understand what’s causing it, and I hate it.”

gillybeanbeckett:

“Oh my God. Hollis. I can’t do that in Marilyn’s home.”

“If I can sneak off with her son for a little while, I have a feeling you two having an excursion would be hardly more than a blip on anyone’s radar.”

mrsclaremackenzie:

“Just don’t develop an alcohol or drug problem. You might need to talk to Amsel about something that’ll calm your nerves.”

“He’s not been prescribing me much. We’ve been doing behavioral therapy  more than anything, which works but only so much and not for this physical aspect of it.”

gillybeanbeckett:

“It’s okay. I’ve just thought about it too much.”

“You know what could help get your mind off that sort of thing? Sneaking off with that rugged firefighter boyfriend of yours for a bit.”

gillybeanbeckett:

“One is a drawn out form of torture and the other would be relatively quick and I am not sure I want my life to be a living hell.”

“Oh, right. I guess I hadn’t thought it through entirely.”

mrsclaremackenzie:

“It’s difficult, but you learn coping techniques. I have done a lot of anxiety related ones over the years. Sometimes I do unwind with a glass of wine.”

“Wine doesn’t seem to cut it a lot of the time, not unless its percentage is barely legal.”

“I used to have nightmares that she killed me for that.”

“Maybe if you had killed him, then yeah, but I’m sure she’s more of the ‘I’ll make her life a living hell for hurting my son’ kind of person.”

mrsclaremackenzie:

“In my life it often does.”

“How can you live like this? Please tell me drinking numbs it.”

‘There we go, that’s better. What are you working on anyway”

“My dissertation thesis.”

“Has anyone seen or heard from Orson? I’m worried about him.”
