-leaves you two plague cupcakes and one BIG hug- <3
-smiles warmly- Aww, thanks cutie.
Hey Hoya bb, you are a qt.
-chuckles- I wonder who this could be...
[Swimming Pools] LunaxHoya
The rain plopped down around Sunyoung and this stranger. She could see the distress in his face and eyes, which made her even more curious. She waited a bit more for his response, all the while trying to keep her eyebrows from furrowing. She rocked back and forth on the heels of her rain-boots, trying to make up something to do. She watched as he sniffled some before opening his mouth to answer. She didn’t hear what came out of it, maybe it was due to the loud rain around them or maybe it was just that he hadn’t said anything.
That was when he turned to face her. His level of eye contact is astounding. When he told his lie, Luna wanted to call him out on it but she decided against it. If he was lying about it, it must be for a good reason. She nodded even though she was pretty sure that you couldn’t be allergic to the prettiness of rain. She could see that he was crying about something but they definitely weren’t tears of happiness. When he asked about his distraught expression, Luna was in limbo. She was trying to decide on telling him the truth or telling him a lie because to be honest, he looked really distraught. “No, it’s not that bad.” she tried her best to lie smoothly so that it would be believable.
When he pointed at the spot beside her and asked if she minded, Sunyoung said no. The umbrella was big enough for two and she liked being kind and sharing. She giggled when she thought about his peers that also were not prepared for the weather. The ones that were running out of class. “I’m Sunyoung, but you can call me Luna,” she said. “Nice to meet you Howon.” she gave him a genuine smile.
The girl didn’t mind sharing the umbrella but now it was almost impossible to not look at Howon. Even through his frazzled state, he was good looking. Her eyes traced his jaw and the rest of his face but stopped at his hair. It was about 10 rain drops away from drowning. If she hadn’t ‘saved’ him, he would’ve donned the drowned cat look that Sunyoung hated so much. She pressed her lips together and looked away smoothly when Howon’s eye’s were back on hers. She didn’t want to be caught staring so blatantly at him.
Hoya uncovered his head from the thin fabric that was a sort of "hood", although it didn't do much as far as protecting him from the rain, though it kept him warm. "Thanks Luna," he said in a distracted voice. He was looking out ahead of them, wondering how he was going to get back to his place safely without having to come too close to the water. As he began to map out the parts of campus that were thickly covered with trees, he was pulled from his thoughts and remembered that it wasn't his umbrella to begin with. "Where were you headed?" He scooted over a little more so there was a larger gap between the two all while remaining under the protection of her shield.
He began to observe her better, now that he was much closer to the girl. She was a few centimeters shorter than him and her hair fell on her shoulders. She had a fairly cute face; one that he wouldn't mind being greeted by whenever she called...
He quickly shook his head, shaking the thought as the rest of his imagination trailed on to fantasizing about asking her out. She was only a kind young woman who was just curious about his irrational fear, and he was in fact, the one who invited himself to her umbrella. Hoya quickly reached for the item in her hand, accidentally grazing her skin with his cold fingers and took the umbrella from her grasp. "I'll hold it," he smiled. "It only makes sense," he said as he showed her that he had to squat a little to fit underneath. He took a step closer to her, keeping her more towards the center, causing the gap between the two to disappear again.

Big, fat rain droplets fell from the sky and onto Sunyoung’s head. She looked up in confusion and got hit in the eye with yet another one. But I thought it was supposed to rain later on… The girl shrugged and opened up her umbrella. She felt like her hair looked nice today and the rain would ruin it. Rain like this would make her look like a drowned cat. She would feel like a drowned cat too.
She enjoyed the rain plopping down on her umbrella and the puddles that she could splash in with glee. Thank goodness I watched the news this morning… Sunyoung was just wandering around, as she had no classes, and nothing else planned. She tried multitasking by holding her umbrella and searching through her purse. The objects of her desire were her ear buds and cell phone. She loved listening to sad songs in the rain. It calmed her down and made her stop and think.
Sunyoung was humming along to a song and splashing in puddles when she made it to one of the lecture halls. She looked around and saw some people who were prepared like herself and some people just completely sprinting to their cars. She smiled a bit and walked on. Sunyoung remembered playing a game that was played during her childhood. If you stepped on a crack, you’d break your mama’s back. She hated stepping on cracks because she loved her mother. Why would she want a disabled mother with a broken back added to the mix? She shuddered at the thought and decided against playing the childish game.
She was closer to the entrance now and could see one of the students. He seemed to be a bit scared as he descended the first step. She stopped to watch him because he was intriguing and the girl had never seen somebody that was scared of rain. Other than cats, that is. He slowly walked around the big puddles but he didn’t seem to mind the smaller ones as much. His facial expression showed that he was scared, maybe even losing his mind a bit. Sunyoung was curious as to why. She fast-walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder, trying to get his attention. “Why do you seem so scared of the big puddles?” she asked curiously.
Hoya, practically in tears from having to look at the hideous "bodies of water", was intrrupted from his focus when he was tapped by a stranger. He looked over at her, shameless of his visible distress and faced her question. He stared at her for a few seconds, unable to process her words when he looked at her. She had a heart shaped face and her brown hair framed her eyes, twinkling with a sort of happiness that Hoya could not seem to understand. He sniffled a bit, trying to stifle his fear as best as he could when he opened his mouth. All that he could mutter out was a inaudible answer and was left dumbstruck before her.
He turned to face her completely, locking eyes with her to concentrate on her rather than the rain that was beginning to pool everywhere around him. "I'm not scared," he lied immediately. He couldn't think of a more masculine and less embarrassing answer. "I'm just allergic to the rain," he added. Of course he wasn't allergic to the rain; he didn't even think that was a real allergy, but it was the first thing that slipped out his mouth. "I mean, it's so uhm, pretty that I couldn't help but cry at it," he continued. His answers weren't even logically constructed, but being surrounded by water, he had to do his best to get away from it as fast as he could. "I don't look distraught, do I?"
He pulled his hood in more, trying to shield his face from getting wet. He was not only terrified at this point, but he was trying to mask it from a stranger. A girl at that. And to top it all off, one that he found particularly attractive. "Do you mind...?" He asked as he pointed at the spot beside her. "I'm not very prepared for today's weather," he tried to chuckle, his words slowly coming out with ease. He was beginning to forget about the rain around them when he continued to focus on her. He moved his eyes from hers to her face, looking at the rest of her without making it so obvious. "I'm Howon, by the way."
[Distraction] Eunji x Hoya
No matter how hard she tried, Eunji simply could not wrap her mind around any of the events that had transpired that night. From the texts, to the cat, from calling Hoya to forgetting her wallet at home, from somehow managing to watch the one movie that would upset Hoya more than any other to finding herself crying in his arms, everything was new tonight, and Eunji was too fucking exhausted to fight anymore. She surrendered whatever hold on herself that she had left, wordlessly following as Hoya led her back to the living room.
And then that ridiculous, painfully fearful man who cooked dinner for her every Monday and made dumb condom jokes to try to make her laugh and who let her hold his hand when she was scared- he looked her in the eye and swore up and down to protect her and she didn’t have any idea how to react. Spent from crying, she stared dumbly at him as he walked her to his room and explained that she’d be safe there, and the only thought that registered in her mind was that she should have never come to his apartment in the first place.
He pulled her close again and then stepped away, turning to leave, but she grabbed his hand to stop him. “Hoya…” her voice sounded almost as frantic and desperate as she felt in that moment. She swallowed and took a deep breath, staring at their hands as she continued and forcing her voice to stay steady. “Look, I… you don’t know everything about me. And I love you for-” she smacked herself in the forehead and swore under her breath at the words that spilled out of her mouth without thought. Where did that even come from!? She needed to stop talking; she was just saying whatever popped into her head and wasn’t making any sense at all.
“Don’t read into that. I meant that I really appreciate everything you did for me tonight, but don’t try to be a hero. You’ve done too much as it is and if this is my past catching up to me there’s nothing you can do to stop it. Not that-“ god why am I saying so many words, he’s just going to have more questions now- she took another deep breath and looked up at him, trying to force her mind and facial expression to both clear up, mentally cursing herself for not just letting him leave the room.
“Hoya, I am acting like a crazy person tonight. I overreacted to a stupid prank and… I don’t know, I’m probably PMSing or something. I shouldn’t have come here and made you watch that movie, I don’t even know why I’m crying, and there’s nothing for you to protect me from. Actually, you know what? I did have to stop by someone’s dorm today for a deal and whatever they were smoking was not weed. I’ve probably got some bizarre contact high or something, and that’s why I’m psychotic today. I don’t know.” She was on a roll; lie after lie after lie.
“I’m just… I’ll go to sleep now. Couch, bed, whatever, I sleep on the floor at home so I’ll be fine wherever. Actually, I can just go home. That’d probably be better. I’m sorry, Hoya, I’m just out of it tonight. I don’t know why you put up with me. I’ll go.” She let out a mostly-sane sounding chuckle and dropped his hand, waiting for him to move out of the way of the door.
Hoya had a vacant expression after the words poured out her mouth. All he really heard from her entire speech before asking to leave was "I love you for-". He hadn't been told such words (even if they meant nothing as of right now) since his girlfriend. He was both touched and confused. Her warning of not reading into the message definitely ran through one ear and out the other. However, he tried his best to grasp what she said, but he instantly froze in that time frame. He tried to motion his mouth, fighting her request to leave, but he couldn't even formulate words again. This time, tonight, it wasn't out of fear- it was out of being baffled. He simply stepped to the side, making room for her to exit.
"But...bed," he started, though his words were incoherent. "Made...couch...safe...not," he continued. He looked down at his hands, watching them tremble. A sea of emotions were waiting to unleash themselves on his fragile state, and he couldn't bear to have her watch him break down again, especially when he's wrapped his mind around her "I love you". "Go," he immediately said. He clenched his fists, masking his tremors as best as possible. "You should get some sleep at home; you're right." He completely ignored her explanation, hoping that she would think he understood her completely, despite that being false.
"Yeah, crazy," he chuckled half heartedly. "You should stop smoking so much," he said, although he wasn't sure if she even admitted to smoking. He caught so much out of her response, and tried his best to connect the dots. "Goodnight," he said in a curt manner. He reached over to open his door, his eyes narrowed on the floor. "I'll catch you when I catch you," he offered, hoping his immediate agreement didn't offend her.
[Swimming Pools] LunaxHoya
The rain was pouring earlier during the lecture as Hoya looked outside the window occasionally, glancing at the pavement from time to time. It wasn't something a normal person would look at when stealing looks outside the room, but then again, who said Hoya was a normal person? The water often pooled, growing through different phases: a little collection of droplets, a small puddle, a regularly sized puddle, and then a lake. Yes, a lake. He jumped to such an exaggerated size because, well, who would have the audacity to really cross such an over sized puddle? Hence, its given nickname.
Thankfully, the ground wasn't covered with larger sized puddles, but rather the collection of droplets. But that didn't stop him from checking to see if a surprise would greet him when he would journey back to his dorm. The professor wrapped up his last few minutes packing up a projector and shuffling papers, allowing students to prepare to leave as well. Hoya simply stood from his seat and tucked his notebook under his arm while shoving a book in his bag and sliding his writing utensils over it.
As he brought his hood to shield his hair and ears, his eyes were immediately drawn to the larger puddles that he seemed to have missed when he was scanning the area."Fuck," he nearly shrieked. He looked around, watching other students casually walking towards their halls or the next room. Hoya took a deep breath, trying to figure out what to do next. He avoided calling Eunji, and Yongguk and Woohyun completely lost contact with Hoya for the past week. He finally concluded that he'd have to make the walk home on his own, swalling his fear of large "bodies" of water. "You can do this Howon, you're a big boy," he said to himself as he braved himself to take the first step.

[Distraction] Eunji x Hoya
Eunji had given up on far more things in her life than she cared to count. She was bound and determined to hold on to this one little scrap of pride that she had left, which was that she had not cried. Not just the pride that she hadn’t cried in front of Hoya, but the determination that she would not cry over whoever it was who was harassing her. She’d done it once, the night she’d gotten the first messages from an unknown number. It’d been the first time she’d cried in years, and she was not about to do it again.
At least that time she’d been alone, not an intruder in the home of one of the few people to whom she was something more than just the groundskeeper. Because they each dealt with drugs (granted, to very different degrees), Hoya had always treated Eunji kind of like an equal, and she was more grateful for that than she ever bothered to let on. She wasn’t going to break down in front of him any more than she already had; she wasn’t going to lose the very little respect that she had left in life.
She thought that if she got away for a second, she could pull herself together again and keep it together until she went to sleep and then everything would be fine and they could just forget this whole thing ever happened. But then there he was again, right by her side, looking into her eyes without judgement or disdain or really anything but concern and Eunji kind of just wanted to punch him because why was he so damn nice to her?! She’d probably done something to deserve getting threatening text messages and a dead cat on her door step, but she definitely hadn’t done anything to deserve Hoya’s kindness and she couldn’t think of a single way to make it up to him. Yet there he was, trying to take care of her and asking for nothing in return.
She couldn’t take looking at him anymore so she looked down, covering her eyes with one hand and waiting for him to go, but then he pulled her closer for… what was it, a third hug? At the door, on the couch- yes, this was the third hug and finally Eunji couldn’t find it in herself to push him away. One arm still crossed over her ribcage and the other hand still covering her face, she tried her very best to literally, physically hold herself together, but her body finally betrayed her as a few hot tears spilled down her cheeks.
Even if she thought she could hide that from Hoya and yet again go back to trying to pretend things were normal, she didn’t stand a chance. Everything that had happened that night, came crashing down on her mind at once- the anger, the fear, the total lack of control, the uncertainty of what would happen next, and before she knew it she was practically sobbing on Hoya’s shoulder. This only made her more disgusted with herself, which only made her cry harder. No matter how much she wanted to stop or say she was sorry or turn around and leave or melt into the floor, she couldn’t move.
Hoya froze when she began to cry on his shoulder, feeling the warmth from her tears on him. His eyes sort of bulged out when she let her emotions run (finally) and she caved in. As much as he anticipated her being so open with him, he didn't think far ahead enough when the time would come and how he would be able to comfort her more other than just hugging her. Should he wait until she was done crying to walk with her to the couch? Or is now the perfect time to get her tissues? Is the couch even the best place for her, considering now how fragile she was? Should he just offer his bed and they would trade places for the night? All these questions bombarded him as she cried quietly on him. He wanted to wait for her tears to subside and she was stable enough to practice regulating her breathing pattern before he even spoke up. But when that would be; he had no idea. As unpredictable as their night had been, any guess would be as good as his own. Instead, Hoya held her close to him while he thought of ways to remove her from the kitchen, in case she had some sort of emotional tie in there and wanted to leave, but couldn't.
After a few minutes of debating with himself, he decided on silently walking her to the living room, guiding her as he stepped behind her. He motioned her to sit as he stood over her. He placed a hand on her shoulder, occasionally moving it to her back so he could console her by rubbing it. Hoya eventually got down in front of her, moving his hand to her knee as he tried to look past the hand that covered her face. "Eunji," he said softly, trying to remove it. "Eunji, look at me," he began. "It's going to be okay." Whether or not that served true, it was the first sentence of comfort to leave his lips. "They will leave you alone, okay? Whatever asshole is making you feel like this will pay for hurting you. I'll make sure that this person won't even step foot on campus anymore and that they won't have the power to scare you like this ever again." He rose from his position in front of her and placed a firm grip on her arms. He lifted her from the couch and had her stand before him. "You can sleep in my room tonight; I'll be out here on the couch. In case that jerk finds you here, at least you'll be in another room and he won't get the chance to get to you first." He wrapped his arm around her frame and hugged her again before pulling away. "Come on, you should get some sleep."
[Distraction] Eunji x Hoya
Eunji splashed some cold water on her face and took a few deep breaths, waiting for most of the redness in her eyes to go away before coming out of the bathroom. One of the few things she was proud of was her ability to keep her cool no matter what happened, and she needed to remember how to do that.
He asked about her clothes and she was about to just say that no, she always slept in sweatpants and a tee shirt so what she was wearing was fine, but then he had to go and offer to walk her home. “Hoya, it’s dark out!” she said- well, kind of shouted, actually. She hadn’t meant for it to come out so loud or hysterical-sounding. He didn’t need to be out under the stars now, and the last thing she wanted to do was go back to her house, especially when she had no idea who had left the cat on her doorstep or where they were now. Eunji cleared her throat and said, in a more normal tone, “No, I’m fine. I always sleep in these clothes.”
I didn’t say anything wrong… did I?
He asked that question just as she walked back to the living room, watching him lay out a blanket and pillow for her. “What?!” she asked, her voice too loud again. “Why would you think that? Hoya, you have been nothing but nice to me all night even though I just showed up out of the blue. I don’t know what I would have done without you-” and she couldn’t continue because her throat started tightening up all over again. She did know what she would have done. She would have drank until she couldn’t remember why she started drinking in the first place, and kept going until she passed out at her own kitchen table. It wouldn’t have been the first time. What else could she have done? She had nowhere else to go.
She could feel her eyes burning again, but couldn’t just run back to the bathroom all over again because that would have been weird. She spun on her heel, turning her back to him, and took a good three or four seconds of silence before she was able to continue. She cleared her throat and said, “I’m, um, going to get some water.” She shuffled off toward the kitchen, arms crossed and digging her fingernails into her fists, trying to hold back tears that had been threatening to appear all evening. That was the last thing she needed right now.
She seemed a little more on edge than she was almost ten minutes ago. Beginning to think he had really said something wrong, Hoya watched her 'outburst' and a sort of ramble of words spill out her mouth before she stated that she needed some water. Hoya merely watched her, unsure of how to even pick at what just happened. He stared at her walking to the kitchen and searching for the cups before he turned to his own thoughts. He began to fumble with the makeshift bed while he replayed her shrill sentences again in his head.
Hoya had an awful habit of not realizing that night time meant it was dark, despite the obvious change in color of the sky. He also failed to realize that stars, what he was just deathly afraid of (and exposed to) shine their brightest when the sun fades away. He almost thanked her for her consideration, if it weren't for her nearly yelling it at him. In addition, Eunji sort of confessed (or at least to him, it seemed so) that she might have done something irresponsible if it weren't for him welcoming her in. Okay, maybe not irresponsible, but something that could have been irrational. What exactly it might have been, he didn't bother to name any specific activities. Hoya was just glad that he stopped her from being alone on a dreadful night.
After he straightened every possible fold in the blanket and fluffed the pillow enough to allow a baby to sleep comofrtably on it, he slowly walked to the kitchen, where she was. "Eunji," he offered quietly. "If you need anything else, let me know." He held his hand out awkwardly, forcing himself to pat her back as soothing as possible. He waddled closer to her, eventually placing his arm around her, although it took a while for him to figure out a way to do so. After he took a look at her face, mostly her nose and eyes, he pulled her into a comforting hug. He couldn't think of any other words to say besides, "I'm here."
[Hello Goodbye] Lizzy x Hoya
Lizzy grumbled loudly as her phone’s alarm clock rang once again and if it wasn’t so expensive she’d consider throwing it at the wall. Slowly, her hand crept from under the blankets and turned it off, her eyes taking a long time to adjust to the light coming from the screen, It was when she saw it. Her eyes widened considerably and they forgot all about the light thing. It was a mystery how she managed to sleep so much, but she didn’t have that much time to wonder once she was running out of bed to grab some already used clothes from the week, dress herself up at almost lightspeed and sprint out of the Sorority house, skipping because of the adjusting shoes on her feet; her teeth securely holding tight a bar of some wood tasting cereal.
By the time she arrived at the building where her class was held, Lizzy was already out of breath and dragging her feet through the floor, her hair as messy as a bird’s nest. To her surprise though, all her classmates were outside the classroom and some others even greeted her while going away. Had she missed all the class? Looking at the clock in the phone, she deemed it impossible and with a frown, got close to the door, but no warning paper was there. She needed to talk to someone. Actually, she could feel some eyes on her and used her hair to perk at who was doing that. Sighing, she realized it was a boy she had surely seen in that class before, but they weren’t even acquaintances.
“I should have brushed my hair.” She mumbled to herself, before dropping her shoulders and pouting, observing the guy— oh, that game must be nice, she thought as she noted down to download it later and got closer to him because why the hell not. “I think you shouldn’t go that way.” Soon, Lizzy found herself by his side, shamelessly giving the unknown guy tips on a game she hadn’t even heard about, now clueless to the world around her.
Hoya was so absorbed by his game that he didn't realize a girl, practically breathing on his arm, watching him. It wasn't until she spoke up about his choice of direction for the player that he even noticed how close she got to him. He looked over at her, not paying much mind to her, then registered she was a stranger. Quickly, he flinched and took a step back, defending his phone by holding it to the side furthest from her. "Uhm," he said awkwardly as he glanced around, seeing that the number of students waiting had decreased slightly again. His eyes landed on her again, unsure of how to tell her to back off. "Thank you," he finally said. He looked over at his game, which he already closed at this point, and then looked back at her. "I was just finishing," he concluded.
He took a step over to the side, trying to create distance between them again. Who was she and what force made her think that standing so close to him was acceptable? Let alone, direct him? He plugged his earphone in, trying to control his thoughts by drowning them with music. After a few seconds had passed, he looked over at her, feeling guilty for rejecting her friendliness. Hoya fought himself internally, debating on whether or not he'd regret returning her attention with a few curious questions. He eventually landed on the decision to risk it. He shrugged as he stepped closer to her. "You know how to play?" He suggested as he pulled his phone out again. He wasn't listening to music at all, he just wanted to put something on to show that he wasn't interested in conversation. But, why not. "I figured I'd pass time waiting on the professor doing something entertaining." He held his device between them, inviting her to help him, or even play with him while still waiting on their already late professor.
[Distraction] Eunji x Hoya
Eunji laughed- not because anything funny had happened, but because it was either that or start crying and crying simply was not an option. It never really was an option, but especially not when Hoya was staring at her from literally a foot away with so much concern on his face. She couldn’t freak out and make him worry any more about her than he already did. She’d done enough as it was. “I’m really fine,” she assured him as convincingly as she could. “You sound like a therapist. Maybe you should switch majors.”
When he started talking about his own fears, Eunji wanted to reach out and hold his hand again, but she couldn’t tell if it was for her own benefit or his- they’d gone back and forth so many times throughout the evening with Hoya trying to help Eunji and Eunji trying to help Hoya that she couldn’t even really tell who owed who what anymore, and it made her uncomfortable. Everything had to balance out evenly, but how could it balance if she couldn’t figure out… well, anything really. How do you tabulate hand-holding and hugs and words of reassurance? She tried not to think about it to much (even though she knew the unbalance of power between her and Hoya was going to bother her until she figured it out), because even as calculating as she could be, she wasn’t going to just leave him to ponder his own phobias alone.
“I know it felt real,” she answered. “But it can’t ever happen, okay? Stars don’t just fall like that. Gravity or something, I don’t know how it works. But stars don’t fall from the sky. Okay? That probably doesn’t help. I’m sorry, i wish I could explain it better.” She cast around for the scientific explanation, but high school had been a long time ago, and she hadn’t managed to learn much while she was there anyway.
“You’re a sweet person…”
Once Hoya switched back to talking about Eunji, she wanted to tell him he was wrong- no, she wasn’t a sweet person, where had he gotten that idea? She wanted to apologize for making him think she was something she wasn’t. She wanted to say anything at all to balance out the conversation, but her words stopped in her throat and she knew she couldn’t get them out of her mouth without her voice breaking. Why did she have to be so damn weak tonight of all nights? She just nodded as he sent her to turn on the lights, using the few moments in which her back was turned to clear her throat and rub the aching out of her eyes.
Any other night, she would have turned down his offer of an extra blanket and pillow. She probably would have laughed at him, made a dumb joke, and laughed at him all the way home. But home was the last place she wanted to be tonight, and as much as she hated herself for it she was terrified to set foot outside of the apartment. So when he offered, she just said, “Thank you.” And then she couldn’t say anything else because her throat got tight again and her eyes burned again and she simply Would Not Cry tonight or any other night or ever if she could avoid it. At least not where anyone could see her.
Eunji excused herself to the restroom to pull herself together (because really, who gets this fucking emotional over a pillow and a blanket?) and adjust her brain to the fact that, for the first time since moving to SNU four years ago, she was going to sleep somewhere other than her own little house.
Her effort to make him feel better was enough to actually help him clear his mind at little more. He didn't smile however, but he was warmed enough to try and forget about the horrifying moment he had to share with her. After she turned on the lights, Hoya sniffled slightly and wiped at his eyes immediately, hoping that he didn't look too shattered or frightened, fixing as much of his physical appearance as possible. He looked at the case of the movie that was still in sight, and Hoya wanted to throw away the movie so bad that even the thought of wasting money on purchasing it wasn't much of a bother. If anything, it was a lesson learned not to take recommendations from people that weren't entirely close to him, like Yongguk or Woohyun.
Eunji, on the other hand, seemed slightly withdrawn from the current situation. Hoya observed her few remarks and how many words she spoke at all, especially after his comments. Though her simple thank you was all that was really needed as "permission" to grab the blanket and pillows, her voice was small. He couldn't tell if it either lacked confidence or if she was too preoccupied in her own thoughts. Or could he have offended her in a way that made her not want to say much? As he continued to ponder her change in attitude, she excused herself to the bathroom. "Uhm, sure," she said as she walked towards it. "I'll just, uhm, grab your things," he said. Uncomfortable wasn't exactly the word to describe how he felt, but he couldn't really find a better one either.
Instead, he just stood up and took to his closet to pull out things for her. As he carried them over to the couch, he thought of what she was going to wear to sleep. "You don't need me to walk you over to your house to get a change of clothes, do you? I'll do it, if you'd like," he called out to her as he fixed her bed. She already looked comfortable enough, but girls could be picky. As he neatly placed the pillow against the arm rest, he looked over his shoulder, awaiting her return. "Are you okay in there?" He asked. "I didn't say anything wrong...did I?"
