What was supposed to happen; came. Under a peace treaty, Lord Gortash, Lord Astarion, Mother Superior Shadowheart, and the Cult of Bhaal rule Baldur's Gate. As promised, an opaque mist hung over the city, leaving Astarion's offspring free to roam outside the palace. As for, the Church of Shar it prospered in abundance, becoming the main cult of Baldur's Gate. Life is more or less peaceful under the care of Gortash's steel automatons, especially for those who can afford it. But on the other side of the door, the refugees are living a waking nightmare. Any act of demonstration is punished. And it is Bhaal's children who take to heart their role as executioners to destroy the demonstrators.
