So I came across an interesting query in one of the groups that I am apart of on FB:

“Looking for answers from adepts. I have done some research and have not been able to find out anything about my inquiry. After reading about "moon water" and not finding any reference to historical use, I wondered if one could make "moon salt". I could not find any reference to it but it seems "logical" that one could charge salt and then dissolve it into water. The solubility of salt to water is about .36 to 1 if I understand it correctly. If one did charge salt under the moon would it have any other uses and could it still be effective for the traditional cleansing rituals and what not?”

I thought that this was an excellent question! The group is primarily for beginners to have people to talk to and to hone their craft. I thought that these questions raised quite an amazing premise that I had never even thought of. So I responded:

“The wonderful thing about the Craft is that it is your intention that fuels many aspects of your magick. Much of what is known was taught and handed down yes, but there is an equal amount of things that were learned through trial and error. So the questions are: If one did charge salt under the moon, would it have any other uses? I would say yes, dependent upon what you charged it for it would carry that same intent when used. Could it still be used for traditional purposes? Again I believe it could be, because it is still salt. Though if I would just make sure that whatever I charged the salt for was complimentary to my intention for that magickal work. At the same time if you were just charging the salt with the power of the moon, then the answer to both questions,in my opinion would still be yes. It would gain the ability to add extra oomph to your spellwork, and could definitely be used for its traditional purposes. All my opinions aside, what do you feel? That is what is truly key.”

Depression sucks. It’s also super invasive and can affect you on on every level of your being. So I found this on the good ‘ol FB. Remember you control your life and your reality!

Remember that your Magick is within you and just because you don’t have a ton of things, or tools, or even expensive herbs, doesn’t mean that you can’t do great things!

Personal Study

I know for me i have a hard time staying focused, and picking one thing at a time to study or to specialize in. I am truly ecclectic. I know that I am easily distracted, and the internet offers no shortage of those. This is why I tend to try to look up my information in books and stay out of the rabbit-hole that is pinterest. I don’t doubt the wealth of knowledge that I’m sure is there, but there is something to be said about books. Something to be said for having to turn through the pages in order to find the information that you seek. In this world where we are saturated with information always at out fingertips and everyone always striving to be relevant. Its nice to take a break from the screen and actually read something that isn’t backlit, write something down in my handwriting, and appreciate all that I have. I don’t know maybe it’s just me...
