I'm sorry to everyone in the notes who's convinced my pad thai will become some sort of hyper-martyr if it dies so I shouldn't want to eat it, but the hard truth is it's going to spoil eventually. I know you're snarkily assuming I haven't considered the ramifications of what comes after the pad thai, like I don't know that there could be other bowls of pad thai ready to take its place, but I actually have considered all that, I've just made my peace with it, because it's going to happen no matter how much I do or don't want it. And it's not like it's guaranteed that every successive bowl will be worse than the last. There's no use catastrophizing over an inevitability like that. Maybe it'll be delicious. Ever think of that? What will do you then? Think of all the good we could do once the pad thai is in my tummy. Because it will go in my tummy. Daddy gets what he wants.
