Mismatched irises nearly rolled out of his skull at her false offense. “What kind?” Palms caught the keys without struggle, a flash of intrigue decorating his profile for the briefest of moments before he relegated himself to a blank expression as customary in Jaq’s ever daunting presence. “You mispronounced wet dreams, but it’s fine. We can work on your language skills another day. I’m not in the mood for hooked on phonics when we’re talking bikes. So who’d you steal it from?”

Her lips curled upwards - mischief bound - as he clasped the keys with little disarray to blonde tendrils. He was arrogant at best - a trait some would believe they shared. “Bonneville T120. As much as it probably pains you, go easy on her. She has a special place in my heart.” A questionable organ for the particular female. Although further sarcasm desired to lace her tongue, her need for him outweighed the venom in her bloodstream. “Ouch. As if I’d ever do such a thing,” she mocked. “More of a family heirloom. Most were given a toy before they could walk, I was given a bike and a lack of tolerance for supposedly charming mechanics.”

tess smiled again. jaq was always nice to her so there was no reason to tell her that the day was being quite rough; customers weren’t always nice. her presence easily erased those feelings. “ —–long so far.” she was honest. “ it will only be one hour left in ten minutes. yay for that.”

“Freedom awaits,” she shrugged, plump lips stretching outwards into a thin line as she pondered for a beat of a second. “Y’know what that calls for, Priss? Road trip.” Dark eyes traced the opposing figure, surveying her with little subtlety. “You’d look great on the back of my bike.”
