Dani nodded, holding back any bit of excitement she was feeling so she’d seem cool. “Late? I wouldn’t even think about it, babe,” she replied with a smile. “I wouldn’t want to make a bad impression.”

“Okay, well I see you then.” She said with a small smile before walking off to class.

“Seriously? Yeah, got it. But I already know I won’t let you down, so,” she smirked. Dani couldn’t help but smile as the girl finally agreed. “Fucking finally,” she mumbled before nodding. “Tomorrow? Perfect. Be ready at 7, babe.”

Lanai tried hiding a smile by covering her mouth and pretending she was yawing when she heard her say fucking finally. She shook her head “And please don’t be late.” She said.

Dani could feel her entire face light up at girls words. “Yes! Just give me one shot? I promise it’ll be worth it,” she said with a smirk, before realizing that Lanai was probably already annoyed by her. “I mean.. Just– Please?”

Lanai looked around at everything but her as she thought. Then she gave her attention to the girl. “Okay. You get one shot and if you blow it in anyway don’t dare try to some talk to me.” She told her. “Fine.” She said. “I’ll go on a date with you.” Something inside Lanai was actually dancing and happy and she hated that so she rolled her eyes and shook her head at herself for acting like that. “Tomorrow night. Take me somewhere, anywhere.” She told her.

“It’s just one date! You can totally ignore me if it goes wrong. C’mon, it’ll be fun. We can do whatever you want to do?” Dani offered; she wasn’t going to give up anytime soon. “Not until you say yes.”

Lanai sighed. “If I go on this date with you are going going to leave me alone and stop asking me?” She question. She thought maybe it was worth going on this date if it meant that Dani would stop asking every chance she gets.

“Don’t lie to me, babe, I know you love it.” She smirked. It took her a moment to realize that Lanai was leaving, but once she did, she quickly walked next to her. “Just say yes, please? I’ll stop bugging you, I promise.”

“For the millionth time no. I’m pretty sure you can get someone else to go on a date with you. maybe someone who is actually interested because i’m not about your games Dani.” She said not even looking at her. “Sp please move it along.” She added as she stop to take a sip at the water fountain.

“Come on, you know I’ll just keep bugging you until you say yes, babe.” Dani replied, the smirk still prominent. “Besides, you and I both know you won’t be able to resist much longer.”

“Don’t call me babe, i’m not your babe.” She spat. Lanai once again rolled her eyes at her. “Unbelievable.” She said under her breath. “Well watch me.” She said tugging her arm from her grip so she can walk away from the other girl.

“Woah, hey,” she started, quickly grabbing the girls hand and gently pulling her back towards her before a smirk appeared on the brunettes lips. “You still haven’t agreed to that date, you know.”

She felt Dani gently pull her back by her arm. Lanai didn’t have time for whatever she was about to say, she had test to study for. She saw her smirk and she died a little on the inside but on the outside she rolled her eyes. “I know, and I’m not going to, I told you no and i mean it.” She said.

Avalon handed it over. “If you really like it, I’ve got more.”

Lanai took a bite out of the soft and fluffy cupcake. “Wow.” She said mouth still filled with cupcake “This is so good, oh my god.” She said as she covered her mouth to talk. She swallowed the last bits that were in her mouth so she could talk again. “These are prefect, I swear.” She said seriously.

“They’re forcing me to marry someone because it’s good for their company - which they expect me to take over in a few years. I can’t stand the guy either, so that’s even better.”

“Shit. I don’t even know what to say. Runaway?” She shrugged. “That’s pretty f’ed up parents must not get the whole don’t marry into wealth thing because it doesn’t turn out good in the long run.”

“Right, of course — I’m just going to pretend that I understood everything you just said and ignore that pleading look you’re giving me, because whatever you want me to do I’m sure I’m not comfortable with it — therefore, the answer is no.”

Lanai looked confused. “All I want you to do is get out of my way so i can get that book that’s behind you.” She said very annoyed. “I don’t need it anymore never mind.” She said turning around to walk away.
