E V A N R O S I E R :
“That’s what I thought.” Evan replied, his smirk shifting to a genuine smile. There was always something about Rabastan that was exciting to him, more than just physical attraction. He wasn’t about to deny the fact that it was Rabastan’s physique that initially caught Evan’s attention, but there was something else that made him keep going back for more. Perhaps it was because the other was always so hungry for his attention, something that Evan secretly loved and enjoyed playing with. Or maybe it was because they happened to get along well even despite the added benefits. A laugh escaped him as Rabastan shot him innocent eyes, “Much better, darling.” His eyebrows raised slightly, “Keep looking at me like that and I’ll be falling in love with you before you know it.” Evan was only joking, obvious by the chuckle that followed his words. But there may have been a bit of truth behind them, seeing as lately he’s had more feelings towards Rabastan than he’s had about anybody before in his life.
Nodding in agreement, Evan lifted his glass to his lips. He felt his eyes widen at the mention of possibly spending time mingling with others. “What, you wanna show me off to everyone else?” Evan teased, “I don’t think so, though. I think I’ve had enough social interaction for the day. These rabid Quidditch fans are a little too much for me to handle, I planned on leaving after a drink.” One of his hands slid over to the thigh that was pressed against his, a smirk on his lips as he maintained eye contact. “You’re more than welcome to stay awhile longer, so long as you promise you’re not gonna forget about me.”
If asked he wasn’t sure he could point out quite where Evan’s opinion had begun to carry so much weight. He was always hungry for some sort of approval, starving for any sort of positive feedback as if it could fill the void that had been left by a lack of his father’s love. Maybe it was because the other man was so free with physical affection but not verbal that he found himself trying all the harder. A challenge that he was determined to win. “I’m no sure I’d know what to do if you did.” It would be a shock to the system if nothing else. For all he was trying to earn himself a permanent place in Evan’s life he wasn’t sure that he actually expected to get it. “And what if I did?” There’s a grin on his face, brow raised in playful challenge as though the words are nothing more than a joke. For the most part that’s all there is to it but there’s a part of him that can’t help but wonder if he’d ever get the answer that he wanted to hear.
To cover his tracks his head shook, words flowing from his lips with light ease. “More that I thought we should spend some time with our friends, it feels like too long.” Shoulders rolled into a languid shrug before he leaned closer once more, kiss brushing against the other man’s jaw before pulling back slightly. “And I can’t persuade you to stay for another?” Another sip of his drink was taken, aiming for nonchalance but that effort was lost in an instant as soon as Evan’s had landed on his leg. Any intentions he’d had for attempting to stay a little longer were quickly lost and he knew he’d be leaving just as soon as Evan decided to. “Not possible.”
