esen picks up the soap bar with more interest now that they’ve seen how passionate eliza seems to be about it. of all things to be excited about, it’s soap. still, it must be no easy feat trying to make soap especially in these quantities all by yourself. “i’ll buy one and…” they trail off taking a sweep of the room with mildly curious brown eyes, “whatever else you recommend. you know best and i might as well buy something for the twins while i’m here.” there’s a tendency esen has to spoil their younger siblings- they hate being babied but free stuff is always appealing.
“have you atleast eaten today?” they hope vainly the answer is yes. eliza spends so much time making her products, esen worries maybe they forget the time to take care of herself in between. the sun is still high in the sky providing natural light that floods the shop. distinct colors pop out at them as if a rainbow and its various cousins made a home in this room. atleast the smell is comforting. the sound of their heels echo lightly in the room as they make their way to what looks like a new product or maybe they aren’t paying attention enough. “is this new too?”
glancing around at the various products on the shelves and in bins her hands pick a few things out without much thought. she knows her own product better than anyone, as she should really. she spends enough time making it. the bar of soap is soon joined by another that is infused with rose water and coconut, a sugar scrub to fight off the dry skin of winter, a shampoo and conditioner and an assortment of bath bombs she has no intention of charging esen for. when she is done she smiles. “i think that should do it,” eliza nods her head. “they should all play well together, and smell nice in any combination.”
the brunette cocks her head in question, trying to remember if she had actually eaten, and if so, what had the food been. after an uncomfortably long time she smiled sheepishly. “i’m not sure. i think so? but then i had a couple of meetings with investors and then with my packaging designer and did you know that those meetings take twice as long if you are also friends with your staff? we spent an hour just rambling about the new shop layout.”
