I'm slowly wanting to continue this project now. I'm doing it just for myself, because I enjoy making these little things and looking at the little bits that are already done… it really makes me happy and sometimes surprises me when I forget about the details I've already added.

I'll never finish this project, but it's so nice to come back to it every time. It's a nice break from art for me, which I rarely do lately, even if it's not noticeable… haha.. I have too many thoughts and emotions about this..

Mumu* (I didn’t overthink the name again, tbh) is a spirit who appears during Obon. Using the light of little lantern, helps wandering souls find their way and reunite with their families.

I also set birthday thematically — August 14, right in the middle of Obon. So yeah, something like that… Overall, I like the concept, but it still needs some polishing.

*Mumu is a character from Turgenev’s story **SPOILER** she’s drowned at the end, which is where the association with wings came from. So yes, canonically, my Mumu is also deceased and afraid of water :)
