This was such a cute prompt!! I really enjoyed working on it! It’s very short and the dialogue is silly, but I hope you like it anyway! I hope to write a longer fic next time *cries*

“HYAH!” cried the breathy, enthusiastic voice of the lively owner as she leapt away from numerous tumbling rocks crashing onto the place she had just stood on, “Nice try, Sonic, but you know I can’t be taken down that easily.”
The teasing tone of that remark drew an eye roll from the aforementioned hedgehog. “That’s just ‘cause you’ve had the best trainer,” the boastful, cocky voice of said hedgehog beamed back rather nonchalantly as he threw her a quick wink and his signature smirk.
Both actions of which immediately flushed the pink hedgehog’s face and rapidly increased the rate of her heart. Rather normal effects, considering how the blue hedgehog was the subject of her ardent infatuation. But she couldn’t let him have this one. She leaned forward on the handle of her hammer, quickly gaining her composure. “That’s true, Knuckles did train me well,” she taunted, returning him a wink and smirk of her own.
At this, Sonic the Hedgehog dramatically fell on his knees and grasped at his chest at his heart, as if he had been mortally wounded. “The betrayal! The treachery! Amy Rose, I did not know you were capable of such harsh words!” wailed the blue blur as he supported his weight with one arm on the ground.
The sight only made Amy let out a snort, which quickly developed into a laugh. The more she looked at him, the harder she cackled. Despite this, she made an effort to walk towards him in order to help him up. “Here, let m--”
Her words interrupted by the brisk gush of wind, she was left holding her hand out at thin air. She blinked her eyes in an effort to make out the ground in front of her through all the particles of floating dust, regardless of recognizing the swift escape all too well and knowing her victim was long gone.
It was then Sonic’s turn to fill the atmosphere with his chuckle. “Looking for something?” He challenged, dragging along her beloved hammer. Although the sudden sound prompted Amy to jolt up in surprise, she spun around in one quick motion and locked eyes with her cherished hero.
“Oh no, you’ve taken my hammer! What ever will I do?” she half-mocked, making her way towards him with her hands cradling her face. Although her hammer was her most prized possession and she felt lost without it, Amy wasn’t completely vulnerable without it. She still had her crazy strength and determination burning deep within her.
Her pace seemed to quicken, and so did Sonic’s frantic and vain attempts at picking up her hammer. She came face to face with the hedgehog, a proximity which prompted him to back up a bit. “What’s the use of being the fastest thing alive, if you can’t even pick up a simple hammer?” Amy chirped, flicking his nose with one of her fingers.
“Y’know,” Sonic replied, leaning down and making her step back this time, his careless yet cocky demeanor coming back to dominate, “Speed always wins.”
“O-oh, yeah?” the smaller hedgehog demanded with a faltering smirk, trying her best to keep her cool. Sonic was looking so intensely at her that she thought she might collapse from those big, emerald orbs penetrating deep into her soul. His attention was something she always craved, but she never knew how to handle it once she actually got it.
His only reply was a quick wink, and just like that the wind was flooding into the place he had just resided.
“Sonic the Hedgehog!” Amy cried out after him in indignation, promptly letting out a huff as her annoyance dissipated into the wind. “You can run!” she bellowed again, this time her voice full of determination and excitement.
While I’m still working on the next chapter for “Accidental Attachments” and a new Sonamy fic, I want to get more practice with writing! So,
I’ll be taking small ship requests !!
(Sonamy and shadamy preferably, but if you also like silvaze, tailream, etc those are welcome too!)

It takes place when there older so some of it might be a little OOC but it’s really well written and I love how she characterizes them! It’s a neat take on how there relationship would grow. She has a lot of other good little one shots too!
