I've never been attracted to violent men. But something about watching Simon who's so fucking desperate to change and be better and there's no point in getting better because this is it he's dying in this ocean. they said he's not but they're lying and he's known that since the beginning. But he's trying to change and hold on. He gave up his ideology at Filament station. He's been so good, he killed a man on accident and he feels so bad and he's trying to work with the lady on the radio so it doesn't happen again.
But nobody believes him
They all can't get past Simon the Butcher. He'll never be more than a murderer and a criminal. He's been metaphorically reborn and that's not enough. Ava still mourns Filament Station where he didn't kill anyone and she doesn't believe him.
the ocean doesn't believe him because it believes in a sort of Eden just like he used to. It believes that humanity is doomed and it doesn't understand WHY HE'S NOT LISTENING. HE SHOULD BE ON IT'S SIDE.
anyways seeing Simon rage out and smash it after they've been trying to get him to relapse was really hot and cool
he finally finds somewhere to direct the rage
