Hey all, just a personal update 🦇✨ (...announcement?)

You wouldn't know this about me but I've been financially dependent for years and kind of trapped in a toxic living situation, and I've been trying to build & network my doll business to get out of a tough spot

I'm not currently able to pursue education (my dream!) and haven't been able to get a job outside of the house...

I have been trying to put my Monster High know-how to use by buying broken dolls online and re-selling them but is a real slow-go, and a lot of the money I do make goes to the person I'm living with so saving is extremely difficult

I'm not asking for charity, but if you enjoy my content you can support me by tipping me on Kofi, it would really help me a lot

And on that subject, I'm going through some clips I have of the Gwen's which will probably go on TikTok once I have a bit more

I have been super overwhelmed the last two weeks, but I think I would ultimately like to do some longer form videos on fixing up broken MH dolls when I feel like I have the mental space? possibly on YouTube, but I won't get too ahead of myself it just seemed like a fun idea

I'll plug my other socials more once I have more content, but I'm kind of just getting into the swing of posting semi-regularly on here so I'm gonna take the win and try not to overwhelm myself

Two more dolls have found a new home! Catrine and GA Frankie 🥰

Still trying to track down parts for my roller maze Frankie but I managed to get the pen mark off of her face using acne cream:

And we have two new additions! Enid Sinclair and Rochelle Goyle 🎀

Rochelle is in such great shape all she really needs are some wings, but buying parts for her is so expensive… if I can though I’d like to get her bag and pet too

Hello all! I had to take a break from uploading but I have finally made my first profit!

I resold my Dead Tired Clawdeen, so once the money comes through from that sale I will officially have made more than I’ve spent 🩷

If I sell the rest of the dolls I have I can build up a budget for buying damaged lots, incomplete dolls and spare parts and the restoration business will be entirely self sufficient! Realistically I’ll still probably have to overspend once in a while, but I finally feel like trusting the process was worthwhile!

Right now my complete dolls are FCA Honey Swamp and Claudia Wolf, Ghoul Chat Catrine De Mew and Wave 1 Venus McFlytrap

I’m also taking a break from customisation as I’ve been very creatively overwhelmed and am preparing to move

Turns out I just had a blue Nefera brush... I guess this was from one of the mixed lots I bought when I was 14? I had no idea the different brush colors meant anything back then 😹

I was going to buy one for Nefera before I re-sold her and now I don't even have to!

Now all I need are her shoes, belt, and necklace!

I’ve been recording the process to upload on TikTok, I'm trying out some relaxing fix-em-up style short videos but I think it would be fun to do full length videos on YouTube occasionally...

Seeing the dolls go from banged up and ratty to semi/fully complete collectibles is so satisfying ✨

Warning for Artists: fake report scam

Hey all, I recieved a strange message from someone claiming to have falsely reported my account for phishing and fraud to such a degree that my account was due to be deleted

The person showed me a screenshot of the email which I have attached below and urged me to friend the Tumblr "staff" member named in the email: support.oliver

This was immediately super fishy to me so I looked up "fake reporting tumblr scam" and a reddit thread popped up right away, also attached below

The user that tried this on me is @marilynmustfckndie, they might delete their acc and make a new one after I post this but apparently a lot of people have been pulling this scam

I did report their account to tumblr support, I also did message support.oliver on discord with fake details so I could report the individual messages for impersonation/fraud but I wouldn't reccomend engaging with scammers

Be careful out there everyone!

Princess Guinevere doll update, ft. unnecessary censorship from tumblr #2

For anyone wondering how Jane/Gwen is doing, I am taking a break from customising but this is my most recent picture of her

She needed 2 more boil-washes after this to get her hair to calm down, I'm not going to finish styling her hair until I've done her face but I cut off some of the length and tried to set it as I went to get a sense of how it would look once it was all the right length

Frankie's new arms arrived!

I still haven't been refunded for the ones that never arrived so I'm going to be getting off Vinted as soon as I can find a new platform, if anyone has any reccomendations I'd love to hear them

This is the second time I've had to fight for a week+ to get my money back for an item that was never delivered and I've never had this much trouble getting through to Vinted support before, it's starting to feel like it's on purpose 😅

Frankie's shoes arrived today but not her bag, I messaged the seller and they assured me they put the bag in with the shoes-

I also haven't been refunded for her arm replacements even though the order was officially cancelled five days ago, and Vinted support has literally been radio silent

I've been pretty lucky so far so I'm not overly irritated, I guess it happens sometimes

It is a little frustrating cause my doll funds are basically being recycled from my first sales on vinted and new stocks depend heavily on my sales, which are slower and go for cheaper when dolls are missing pieces 🙏🫠

It'll be fine though, I can make this work
