“That’s fine, go take a shower, relax and I’ll come check on you.”

“Six kids holy shit.” He laughed as Daelo walked in the room. “Do I have to go to school tomorrow?” Carson didn’t blame him. He hated middle school school too.

“I can’t believe it, six.” the woman laughed “Do you need a mental health day?” she asked softly

He nodded. “Three more years and those two might be out of the house.” It seemed like a freaky idea but he didn’t know if it would happen.

Mariah gasped “I can’t believe it’s just a few years away until they might leave the house.” the woman said “Well at least you get another one.”

“He did it.” Carson heard the twins yell. “I don’t care who did it. Pick it up or neither of you get desert.”

“Are you ready for another one of these?” she asked with a laugh as she peeked out of the room “Pick up your messes please, thank you.”

“It’s okay to be nervous.” He sighed as he heard a crash. “I don’t even wanna know.”

Mariah giggled “I don’t wanna know what that was either, my goodness.”

“You could always play us them. You know the boys love hearing you sing.”

“I know I could, babe, I’m just a little bit nervous.” she said with a smile “I recorded a few downstairs.”

“Baby, if you need me to talk to the label about extending the deadlines, i’ll do it.” He kissed her head

Mariah smiled “No, it’s okay really, I’ve got plenty of songs written I just don’t know if they’re really any good.”

“Stress? Mari, is everything okay?” He grew concerned. “How are the little ones, not giving you too much trouble?”

“I was just worried about the songs and not getting them done in time.” the woman said “No, not at all, they’re so good.”

“I know you are and I’m so fucking proud of you.” His eyes widened. “We’re having another baby?” Carson nodded. “I swear if he wasn’t a little mini me it wouldn’t be so damn hard to reprimand him.”

“I have a few songs written.” she smiled “We are, I thought my period was late because of stress but turns out because there’s a little baby in here.” she said with a smile “I understand, don’t worry.”

“It was good. Everything is ready for when you want to go back to the studio.” He mumbled into her neck. “I figured. Out of the two of us you’re the one who doesn’t let him get away with a lot of stuff.”

“Is it really? I’m so ready.” the woman said with a smile “I have some news for you though.” she said softly bringing the two pregnancy tests up to show him “I know I don’t I just want him to know that there’s fun and rules.”

Carson got home rather late and found Javon watching tv. “Are you done with your homework Jay?” The young man nodded. “Yes dad. Don’t believe me ask mom.” He laughed “Where is mom?” The teenager didn’t say anything just motioned towards upstairs. The manager walked into their bedroom and wrapped his arms around the waist. “Hi baby.”

Mariah smiled as she greeted by Carson “Hey handsome, how was your day?” she asked softly her hands rested on his. “Jay really did do his homework by the way, I helped with it, I promise.”

“I’ll make your favorite.” He kissed her before heading to the kitchen. He put his airpods in and called his best friend. “Hey D.”

“Aw, you’re so good to me.” the woman said with a smile “Hey man, what’s up? how are things?” he asked

“I’ll call Dec.” He kissed her cheek. “Go relax. I’ll make you something. What do you want?”

Mariah smiled “Sounds good to me, sweetheart.” she said as she looked at him “I’m not really sure, so many things sound good right now.”

“If you two want we can get a huge house next to Megan and Colson’s and all live together.” He smiled. “Should I call someone?” You could hear the worry in his voice.

“I love the idea of that.” Mariah said with a smile as she looked over at Carson “I should be okay, honey, i did a lot of walking around so baby is probably just irritated with me that i moved them so much.”

“You sure you two aren’t twins?” He laughed. He was happy Megan and Declan saved her from that toxic environment. “It was good.” Carson kissed her cheek. “How are you feeling Mari?”

“I wish we were, she is everything to me and she just gets me.” she said with a smile as looked at him “I’m feeling good, my belly feels very heavy today for some reason.”

Carson smiled as he walked into the living room. He knew a lot of people were skeptical when he fell in love with his best friend, who was his only client. What happens when they break up but he knew he was going to marry her one day. “How was Jordy?” He asked about her adoptive niece.
