So I made an easy-to-follow tutorial for the total newbies who wish to use it on their cc windows and doors. You don’t need any specific knowledge to achieve this. This is accessible to everyone so if you scared or lost, just follow the steps.

Hey! As a bit of a sims noob.. how do I apply the cc fixes youve made to my existing cc (in my case, BuffSums windows)? Do I replace the old files with your files or do I add them into the existing folders or what?

Hello hello! Thank you for your kind words- that’s very sweet of you. 🥰 with my fixed files, just put them in your mod folder and make sure you replace/overwrite the existing files. If you run the new S4S batch fix the files will come up as unable to be fixed because they already have modelcutout resources. That’s ok! They should work as they are and don’t need the batch fix. Xx
Studio updates with Windows & Doors batch fix (Windows, Mac)
Hi all, Studio is updating today with a batch fix for custom windows and doors that were broken by the Star Wars patch. The Windows and Mac versions both have this new feature.
For creators, each version also has a feature that allows you to fix the cutout on any new creation by clicking Tools/Modding/Generate Model Cutout From Wall Cutout Texture after you’re finished importing your new wall cutout texture.

Notes:
When the batch fix runs, it will create a backup folder containing the original version of all files it fixed. Please do not discard this file until you verify that your windows and doors are functioning properly in the game. If you encounter a window or door that did not fix properly, please send us the original and the broken batch-fixed versions so the problem can be investigated.
The game has a small glitch with some round windows that causes a subtle line to appear at the edge of such windows when no wallpaper is on the wall in which the window is placed and the wall is facing a certain direction. EA windows do this too (see pic below), so this is not a problem with the batch fixer, it’s a game issue. You will not notice this line once wallpaper is applied to the wall.
Running the batch fix on a window or door will cause a new resource to appear in the Warehouse view of that file. This resource records the batch fix version that was applied to the file. If you add new broken windows or doors to the same folder in which this file is placed and run the batch fix again, this resource allows Studio to skip over this file instead of fixing it again.
This batch fix took quite awhile to complete because of the immense variety of doors and windows created by our community. Andrew deserves kudos for sticking with this project even when, at times, it seemed impossible to complete.

UPDATED FILES
Hello, friends! The very clever LuvMySimz on the S4S forum discovered that some of my uploaded files had a mismatch between the BaseFileNameHash and ModelID fields in the CutoutInfoTable resource and therefore weren’t working properly for some Simmers. I’ve fixed that issue for the affected files, so if you’re having issues, please try re-downloading the following:

Tingelingelater’s City and Town build sets
Sooky’s Sicilian doors
Since I’m only a sample size of one, I really appreciate feedback about what’s not working. There are so many moving parts in these files that it’s easy to overlook something small that may be preventing the object from functioning as it should. It’s my goal to have these working for everyone on all computers, so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re having issues, and we’ll figure it out! xx

I would love to be able to use the Bardon arch with sliding door again which was free from DOX's site (I have the files) and the Urban Shutter Windows, which can be found on booty. I read in another ask that if the cc maker is inactive you might take a request to fix their windows and door. Hi guys! First, I should say that I’ve been really blown away by the kind reception you’ve given me and my cutout fixes. Seeing everyone so excited and happy makes this 100% worth my while, and your lovely words have made me smile.
I also really appreciate the help and encouragement I’ve gotten from current creators (hugs in particular to @mincts4 who graciously gave me permission to fix OMS’s recolours of her Basic Square set and helped me get my head around how the textures worked and @sooky88 who kindly allowed me to share fixes of her Sicilian set). I’m really blown away by what a supportive community there is here, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. <3 <3

In lieu of Simblreen-esque gift giving, I come bearing the door and window cutout fixes requested so far, with the sole exception of Oh My Sims’ windows, as they appeared to be recolours of an old window set by Minc (and though the files purported to include the meshes, I found all kinds of weirdness when I opened them in S4S and couldn’t figure out what was going on.)
Note that I also fixed a number of Tingelingelater’s doors and windows whose diagonal meshes were missing and therefore needed to be cloned from an object without a diagonal mesh. These objects also tended to be missing their low LOD and shadow meshes, so with the help of S4S tutorials and much trial and error, I figured out how to create these by editing the high LOD meshes. My poor brain is a bit overloaded, but I think everything should be working (fingers crossed). Please LMK, of course, if you encounter any issues.
And now for the part you’re waiting for: the links! They’re all hosted on SFS, which has been behaving itself lately so hopefully I won’t need to put up mirror links. As a side note, don’t ever worry about ads in my links - I’m ethically opposed to link monetisation because of the spyware risks, but that’s just my view. :)

I don't know if you're taking requests to fix other windows but some of Tingelingelater's cc is broken as well. It appears they're no longer active in the community. If you're not, that's understandable. I really appreciate the time you took to fix Nynaeve'scc doors and windows. I will try to follow the awesome looking video tutorial you posted, if need be.

I actually did look at fixing some of their stuff, but I kinda shelved it for a little bit since some sets have weird things going on like diagonal meshes that look like basic EA doors/windows with the texture overlaid. However, I still definitely want to fix them and will remake the odd ones so they’re cloned from something with only one mesh to avoid the weirdness. Watch this space! 😄
If anyone has any requests for fixes btw I’m happy to have a crack at them as long as the creator is not currently active. I don’t want to step on any toes, and I respect creators’ rights to fix their work themselves. Now if you’re a creator and it’s your CC, I’d be more than happy to help. Just send me a message!
Buildmode Content Update for Post-Patch 1.66
Windows, doors, and arches have been updated to work with the new cutout system allowing more freedom with window placement. You will need to redownload the sets. I advise deleting the original files, then putting the new files in as i have organised the download folders with a new sub folder.

PSA - How to get HQ textures for CC objects.
In a recent patch, EA capped texture sizes making CC with HQ textures look blurry, but you can fix it to get your crispy textures back!
You can either download my HQ Mod (updated recently to include this fix), or fix it yourself by editing the graphicsrules.sgr - instructions are under the cut.

SFS Folder - BuffSumm Cutout Fixes
Hey everybody!
As per my last ask response, I’m happy to report that I’ve finished fixing BuffSumm’s beautiful windows and doors. You can find all sets in the SFS folder linked above. I did not include any objects that are not doors, windows or arches, such as deco objects, so you’ll have to download these from BuffSumm’s TSR page (https://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/BuffSumm/) if you don’t already have them.
As I mentioned before, since it appears that BuffSumm has retired from the Sims 4 community and I’m not sure how best to contact her, I’m uploading these subject to any objection from BuffSumm. If she wants to update the files on her TSR account, I will gladly remove these. I just thought it was a shame that her gorgeous build sets were languishing post-patch, and I am excited to help the community enjoy them again.
All I ask is that you respect her TOU regarding recolouring, which can be found on her TSR page. Have fun! xx
