"I honestly do not care who runs the account now. She's pathetic and nothing more than a knock off Dan Humphrey."
Hanna had every intention of spending her afternoon quietly. A coffee in one hand, her phone in the other, she settled onto a bench and enjoyed the rare moment of peace. That lasted all of five minutes before a familiar voice managed to pull her attention away.
Looking up, she let out a small laugh and shook her head. "You know, I was having a perfectly normal day until you showed up. Should I be worried?" she asked, scooting over to make room beside her. "What's going on?" @ggstarterblog
"I came by to thank you for everything that you have helped me with lately." Blair looked at Hanna. "Seriously, I feel like I'd fall apart without your help at Waldorf Designs."
Violet stares at the message from Gossip Girl on her phone and fury surges through her veins. The night of Resson fresh in her mind as if it happened yesterday. She closes her eyes and feels herself getting hot and before she can fully control it, a bolt of lightning strikes a nearby tree and she exhales, feeling slightly better. "What?" She asks and looks at the person who was staring at her. @ggstarterblog
Blair raised an eyebrow when the lightning hit the tree and she looked at her. "Just because you can strike people with lightning, does not mean you can be an asshole to them." She tells her. "It doesn't matter what Gossip Girl says, ignore her."
"There are some people I know better than others here, and they are easy to read." She shrugged and looked at Blair. "I never said I didn't tell a white lie or two, it's how I survived as long as I did. Is there a reason that true crime has become so popular?"
"I honestly couldn't tell you why true crime has gotten so popular." Blair looks at her. "And to backtrack, I'm not one to judge, telling a white lie every now and again is a good way to live, I've done it myself." She shrugged. "I'm Blair, by the way."
"I need Mother Nature to make up her damn mind on what she wants for the weather, my allergies and sinuses can only handle so damn much." @ggstarterblog
"That will never happen, your best bet is allergy stuff like Zyterc or whatever it's called."
"Thank you so much for meeting up with me for lunch. Life has been beyond hectic lately, and I promise, lunch is on me, order whatever." She smiled at the person she had gone out to lunch with. @ggstarterblog
"You're welcome, Emmeline, and you don't have to explain to me, life is hectic for all of us." She said with a shrug. "How are you doing?"
"Oh, yeah, I don't know." She shrugged with a smile. "I guess I am low key kind of liking it here. Don't judge me, okay? It's nice to not have to worry about anything that I would have to worry about if I was back in Kildare." @ggstarterblog
"And why wouldn't you like Manhattan? This place is fantastic, and it's also technically an isalnd so it's not like you left, you just traded beaches for pavement."
"I have not been here for that long, but I feel like some people are easier to read more than others. I've also learned that people are way too obsessed with true crime and it's kind of creepy." @ggstarterblog
"Those people that you think are easy to read are the most dangerous and can't be trusted with anything, not even a white lie about yourself." She told Sloane and added, "Yeah, true crime has grown a lot in popularity."
"Why are you giving her power in the first place?" He raised a brow at her. "You shouldn't give her any power, especially if you know who you are."
"Oh trust me, I know, but unlike you, I am human." She told him. "We're complex creatures full of emotions."
"Damn, and I'm guessing Serena and I are in the middle of it?" He joked and looked at Blair. "I'm glad you can laugh it off, Blair. Seriously."
"Not yet you aren't." Blair laughed and looked at him. "Well, I know the truth, so of course I am going to laugh it off."
"well do you always let her get under your skin or was today just an off day for you?"
Blair looked at Tamlin and said, "Having an off day. It happens to those of us who are human." She looked him over. "Is that okay with you High Fae?"
"well that's just gossip girl speak for trying to ruin your life and you know that, blair."
"Oh I know, it's just pathetic and more annoying than anything else. Like an influencer trying to get shit from me for free."
"Well if she didn't fabricated all the lies about everyone, then she wouldn't have anything to write about." Everleigh pointed out to the older woman. "Seriously, she is nothing without her lies and trying to start drama."
"That's very true, it just shows how much she's fallen off, if you really think about it." She looked at the younger woman. "At least we can all laugh about what she says, which, honestly probably just pisses her off."
"I think she's got a thing against anyone and everyone who seems happier than her, which in all honesty, is probably everybody. You gotta be pretty damn miserable to write something as pathetic as Gossip Girl."
"Or you have to be a leech, like Dan Humphrey was." Blair said and shook her head. "Either way, whoever is at the helm of this Gossip Girl is pathetic."
"I get it, she's always had this weird power hold over everyone and she will never not have this weird hold over everyone. It's crazy." He looked at her. "Are you okay, though?"
"At least when Dan was Gossip Girl, he was credible, and you could rely on him to tell the truth, this new person is just as pathetic as someone who runs something like Duemouix or TMZ, or even Perez Hilton." She looked at Tucker and nodded. "Of course I'm okay. I've been through worse than whatever Gossip Girl has to say about me."
tamlin laughed. "i guess she knows more than anyone is willing to give her credit for." he shrugged. "sorry that she's doing to that to you all though, that is horrible."
"It's whatever, honestly, she's not the first person to write about Chuck and I, nor will she be the last. I just let her get under my skin and piss me off today."
He laughed. "You already know that Gossip Girl will write anything just to boost views on her page. They're all lies and you know it."
"I know, and as much as it pisses me off and I try to ignore it, there are some times that I can't, especially when she's talking about Chuck and I."
