Funny Running Into You Here

Of all things that Peter wanted to deal with, Thor wasn’t one of them. He thought he’d lost the god of thunder among the stars with the rest of his crew, but no. He was there, and in the flesh - not to mention amidst the sea of paramedics and police officers, as well as a crowd of curious bystanders. He stood out like a sore thumb.
Peter stared at the other blonde when he drew near, a look of apprehension on his face. He supposed he should be happy to see Thor - someone of his team made it, at least. That was a good thing, right? Maybe he’d be able to get some answers. The clap on his back was strong, but not as strong as he expected it to be from the last time Thor had laid a hand on him. Still, it surprised him enough to elicit a surprised sound from him as he lurched forward on his perch.
He offered the god a half grin at the comment and glanced around the mess around them. “That tells me you weren’t lookin’ hard enough.” Peter paused and finally looked up at Thor’s face. “Is anyone else with you?” Something told him no; his heart sank anyway.
It wasn’t that hard to tell that Quill wasn’t quite as happy to see him as Thor had thought he’d be. He supposed he may have deserved that, they’d been out of contact for quite a while, not to mention that their relationship, such as it was, had always been a bit...contentious, but in a friendly rivalry way.
Reaching Peter’s side and greeting him, a crooked smile tugged at the corner of Thor’s lips at the other’s words. “Perhaps not. I did look hard enough to find your dwelling. It was a small misfortune that you were not there at the time.” Small, because he’d gotten to meet the Son of Nel which had been, overall, an amusing and interesting experience.
The question made Thor’s face fall and he shook his head. “I found Tree, but the others are still scattered. Yet, I have news to lift your spirits, Lord of Stars. I came to Midgard on the Benatar.” Reaching into a pocket Thor pulled out the Benatar’s keys and held them out to the other man. For all they ‘fought’ about who was Captain (clearly it was Thor, clearly) Thor hadn’t once considered the Benatar as his, she belonged with Quill.
