Just me overthinking

Love is such a wild concept. I am jealous of people who know for sure that they love another human being. We are told that we love our mother, father, siblings and the list can go on but we are never told about that unique person, our “soulmate”, our other half. We have the mission to determine that person. But in a lifetime when you find your true, unique love one piece from the thin, fragile relation that both of you built with many sacrificies, time and devotation can broke. And then what? You either repair it, replace it but not everything will be same or you start from scratches with another person. In happy cases you won’t think in your deepest conversations, conflicts with yourself that you should have fought for your first love. This time let’s say everything will work out as planned. You will get married, have kids, grow old together and the happily ever after ending. And now you should think about how beautiful, amazing an unexpected life is. More important, how everytime there is a but. And this but will make you think something like this: Did I make the best choice? What if... And now you start to overthink in every cold night when you and your partner had a fight and slept in the corners of the bed, without touching and feeling the warmth of each other. Your soul gets cold too, not just your body, remember that.

And here, after all this poorly description about relationships, comes my question that bothers me at night. What if love is just a concept, an illusion that makes people feel safe because we weren’t taught to embrace the loneliness and be our own reliable person. Maybe it is in our nature, maybe we weren’t created to live by ourselves because we don’t know the exact time when a human being is capable to live all by himself without any help.

I am still young, very young. I don’t think my true person was even borned. I had to get this off my chest.

Maybe someone will relate to this extremely long badly written confession. Maybe nobody will understand my point of view. And here comes the “but”’s brother, “maybe”
