Hizashi looked up when his friend came closer. Why? Why would he stay? He shouldnât. He shouldnât. He should just go on with his life. He should just keep moving on, one the rest of the world. Add Present Mic to the newspapers as another casualty, mourn for a week, then forget him. As it does, as it happens. The heroes, they get forgotten. Present MicâŠwill get forgotten. Yamada Hizashi⊠will get forgotten.
Wouldnât he?
But hereâs Aizawa, showing him wrong. Staying. Itâs so odd, Aizawa was never one to give comfort, unless he cared. Unless he⊠âShouta-â he tried. He tried to say his name, to call him forward, but all that escaped was yet another sob. Broken, hurt⊠and he cried. He brought his hands up and pulled Shouta in, grilling tightly at his hands. Holding him close.
He needed him. He needed him, but didnât want to hold him back. But ShoutaâŠis staying. Heâs staying andâŠ
âŠand itâs the only good thing Hizashi has right now.
He knows itâs selfish, he knows itâs so selfish and cruel. To keep Aizawa here, to hold him back but- he couldnât help.
He wasnât ready to say goodbye. Not yet.
Aizawa brought his arms up to hold Hizashi tightly again. One hand on his head, the other being used to hold him close. Holding him protectively, the erasure hero actually felt tears beginning to prick at his eyes. Blinking them away, he took a deep breath. If he remained calm, he could calm Hizashi down.
â Hizashi, you need to rest, â he murmured quietly. Althought it was tempting to try physically leading Hizashi to lay down, he didnât move a muscle. It wouldnât do any good to rest when you didnât want to. If anything, it would just put Hizashi in a place of more stress.Â
â At least for a bit, â he tried persuading, â It will help .â
Whether Hizashi would rest or not, Aizawa didnât intend on leaving. Eventually, yes, heâd be forced to by other circumstances, but it wouldnât be on his own volition.Â
aim-n-shoot:
Snipe nodded. He decided on the Sukiyaki and set down his menu, staring over at Aizawa. He watched him pull his scarf higher and fought back a frown. Was he making Aizawa uncomfortable? Was the date not fun? They really have hardly been talking and⊠Maybe this was a mistake.
âAre youâŠâ having a good time probably wasnât the right thing to ask, neither was ok⊠âWould you rather be home?â That probably wasnât any better, but oh well. He wanted to know. âIf you arenât enjoying yourself you donât have to stay, really. Itâs ok.â
â Iâm just starting to get tired, â he muttered from behind the scarf. Glancing to Snipe, he frowned. Although he would rather be home, it wasnât to get away from the other hero. Aizawa simply wanted to nap, it was one of his only nights of after all.Â
â ... do you want to order now ?â The unease was beginning to make him a bit uncomfortable. It was enough to be here already, with different circumstances than a normal meet-up.
presentxmic:
âOthers do,â he said it with pain in his voice. He hated to remember how scared everyone looked, how fearful they became whenever he got near afterwards. The looks- how they judged him. How they whispered- heâs the next villain. Heâs going to be a villain. He doesnât want to be a villain.
âIt happened at school a lot, when people touched me,â teased him, bullied him. Those few moments it got physical, and they regretted their choices. Children never learned.
He shrugged at the last question. âThey know I stay out late. Theyâre ok with it. They love me. They do. Hey doâŠBut theyâre also- also afraid of me. Sometimes. They- they donât keep track of me anymore.â They think heâll end up in prison, arrested. Finally touched someone he wasnât supposed to- âthey care. They do. They justâŠpretend not too.â
â Itâs not safe for someone your age to be out late. You should know that, â he sighed, shoving his face further down into his capture weapon. This was troubling, and he supposed there were plenty other heroes working tonight for how stale it was.
He wouldn't comment on the aforementioned incidents. If others already knew about it, there was no point in making a spectacle of matters already taken care of. Rather, what was more concerning was the lack of guidance his parents seemed to be providing. Not keeping track of your son, who was already struggling to understand and control a Quirk he believed to be for villains? There was no logic in that.
â There are ways to safeguard against harming others. You tried this hard to find someone to help you, I assume youâve already tried some method to keep it under control ?â
My psych teacher has a poster in her classroom that says âEverytime you call your boyfriend âDaddy,â Sigmund Freudâs ghost grows a little bit stronger,â and if that isn'tâ threatening, then I donât know what is.

Shiori nearly physically flinched back when Aizawa spoke. He bit his lip and looked down at his feet, softly kicking the dirt beneath him. A quirk is only bad if you choose it to be? Heh, he wished. He doesnât choose to do anything with his, to hurt people with his. He justâŠdoes. With every touch.
He canât touch anyone anymore. Canât let anyone touch him. If he doesâŠif he does⊠he closed his eyes, nodding softly at Aizawaâs question.
âI-I didnât mean to,â his voice was soft, exhausted, broken. He looked up, finally, finally facing Aizawa, there was an age in his eyes- like he was surrending. Perhaps he was. He deserves whatever punishment he will get. He hurt people.
âThey, I didnât want to. But they touched me andâŠI couldnât stop.â
Frowning, Aizawa made eye contact with the boy. He could see the tired look of defeat. It was obvious, how could it not be? It was almost as if this boy truly thought he was to be punished for accidents. But, really, what was Aizawa supposed to say? Oh, itâs no big deal?Â
â ...Are other people aware of these incidents ?â Aizawa really, really didnt want to be the only one confided with this information. As a hero and teacher, he was often confided in by students or troubled youth he encountered on patrols. Often, there were limits to how he could help. That wasnât necessarily the case here. At least, he hoped not. However, if these incidents were already reported and resolved, it would change his approach to aiding the teen.
â And more importantly, are your parents aware youâre out this late ?â

presentxmic:
âI, um,â he was clearly nervous. Why wouldnât he be? Heâs talking to his hero, the greatest man heâs ever heard of. He tooon a deep breath, âMy quirk- itâs a bad guys quirk,â he looks down at his feet, his cheeks flushed with shame.
âWhenever I touch someone I⊠I somehow take away their energy. And it hurts them orâŠor kills them. I, I donât want it anymore!â He shut his eyes. It felt different telling someone- a hero. He felt so ashamed, embarrassed, âBut I know I canât get rid of it, so will you please help me learn to control it?â He finally looked up, though he still couldnât force himself to make eye contact. âP-please?â He remembered his manners and bowed deeply, âPlease? I donât want to hurt anyone anymore.â
Brows knitting together, Aizawa frowned at the boy. This wasnât entirely uncommon, many people pegged Quirks as harmful if they didnât understand them fully. Quirks promoting power, control, and physical transformation were usually seen in positive lights. Those were hero Quirks. Others were seen as destructive, negative, harmful. People doubted many Quirks they didnât understand, especially those difficult to control. Aizawa always detested that.Â
â A Quirk is only bad if you choose to use it as such, â the hero mumbled, loud enough for the teen to hear him. He honestly reminded Aizawa of a few certain students of his. Looking at the streetlamp above them, the hero chose his next actions carefully.Â
â Have you hurt anyone, then ?â The phrasing heâd used lead Aizawa to believe some accident had happened, at least once. It was understandable, but he knew how upsetting it could be. Glancing back to Shiori, his mouth was downturn slightly with concern.

aim-n-shoot:
Sunaipu nodded. Well, he seemed sincere, though not particularly excited. Though that may just be Aizawa. He wasnât sure, really. But any way, the offer is on the table. He wonât push it onto the other man, but if he wants to he knowâs where Snipe is.
Snipe also turned his attention to the menu. âHm,â he read over the options. He was thinking perhaps Soba, or Sukiyaki. âWhat are you thinking of getting?â
â Iâm not sure... â Aizawa was scanning the menu for the cheapest option, if he were being honest. He enjoyed simple foods, so it wouldnât seem odd of him to order something cheaper than Su.Â
With a small sigh, he adjusted his scarf just a bit, bringing it higher. It was warm at the table, but he felt uncomfortable when he nothing around his neck. It had been a long day, and Aizawa was honestly surprised his nerves were so overwhelming that his fatigue had been warded off until now.Â
