I guess social media aren't taking your side against Evan like you'd expect
A confused frown brought Rhaellaâs eyebrows together, as she read the anonymous message. It took her a moment to realize what they were talking about and, once she did, she found the source that had judged her reaction against @daddydavenportt. With so many people in the Electronics shop, it didnât surprise her that someone had posted about their little encounter on social media. It had been almost a day since the incident, and the girl had her head pretty cleared up. So, she typed:
âMy sideâŠ?â If this had been real life, the brunette wouldâve chuckled. âThere is no reason for it, anon, nor is there a war happening. Two people had a heated conversation with eye-witnesses around. People will react to what they see and judge on the knowledge they have, more often than not, sharply. Itâs completely natural and expected. Not to mention, they do have a pointâŠâ
The memories of the previous afternoon flashed before her eyes like an old tape. She recalled how she could hear nothing after the word âbitchâ came out of her own idolâs mouth, out of the blue. How the same word had echoed through her ears countless times, after a slap sheâd get from her grandmother and her father. Those were times where she was forced to shut up, or sheâd be stuck with them for even longer that she had to. The previous afternoon was the one time where she could show how she wouldnât tolerate anyone treating her like that. So, her, the calm, collected girl, snapped and talked carelessly.
â Yesterday, the situation called for me to be a lawyer outside of court instead of a woman, and I wasnât prepared. So, why would I brag about it? The truth is, I felt great for a solid five minute period, and then I wanted to rush back inside. But I had a case and a debate waiting less than an hour away, and I knew Iâd lost that one the second I walked out of that door. Who knows? The island isnât endless. We might run into each other again some day. â
Rhaella was about to hit the âPublishâ button, but there was one thing she was truly curious and startled about. She should as well find out. âOh, out of curiosity⊠@aphroditescove-gossip do really people throw punches here if you ask to cut the line? Where I come from, itâs the most natural thing ever. If you just jump in front of another person like a brat you have another thing coming, but if a person has like two items and I have ten, or if itâs an emergency and they ask for permission? We will let them, or even offer them a spot in front of us. Itâs not something we see as privilege.â
