The Golden Boy. Pretty vacant, passively rebellious, easily bored, sexually repressed but altogether a genuinely nice guy. He drifts through life with an heirloom Tiffany silver spoon in his mouth. He is the boy your mother wants you to marry. Often stoned, always the reluctant heartthrob. A graceful winner of battles that his good looks and Brahmin breeding secured for him. He goes through life in a faint cloud of smoke and faint attempts at pointless rebellion, as someone else makes decisions about everything - from his expensive shirts to his expensive college.
Bryce smiled a little as he nodded his head, biting his lower lip gently. “It’s nice to meet you too,” he muttered, taking a long gulp of his drink before setting it down. “Are you knew around here or something?”
Good, everyone needs a drink sometime.“ Smiling he took a sip of his drink as he looked over at the other attractive man next to him.
“Trust me, I know. I’m always looking for a drink. Or a smoke- anything to calm me down. Make me a little happier,” Bryce hummed, grinning a little as he shook his head, before picking up his drink when it was brought to him, taking a long gulp of the liquid as it slid down his throat soothingly. “So what’s your name... stranger?”
Bryce paused a heartbeat, thinking it over. Cecil was nowhere to be seen, and after Schuyler had left without any warning, drinking with a strange and attractive man was exactly what he needed. “Okay. Yeah- I can drink,” he agreed, nodding his head before asking the bartender for a whiskey.
Logan shook his head in agreement. He had never actually experienced love before either. But it wasn’t the type of statement he wanted to blurt aloud and make known. “Hey there’s nothing wrong with getting laid. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see where our luck takes us on this island.” Logan’s head cocked to the side, confused as to what he had just heard. Maybe he heard incorrectly, but he was sure he didn’t. “You have a girlfriend back home? If you don’t mind me asking, what are you doing here on the island then?”
“My father is one of the most powerful men in America at the moment,” Bryce started slowly. “Think of my relationship with her like an arranged marriage. Except we’re dating, and not married. I would much rather be single than be dating her, but I can’t break up with her. And the whole, ‘suck it up and fuck her’ thing doesn’t really work for me, in terms of getting laid. Like... At all.”
Logan’s eyes squinted in confusion at the man’s response. How was it possible to not be a fan of the beach anymore? The statement baffled him, but it seemed like there was a much deeper reasoning. That was something that Logan didn’t want to get into with someone he was just meeting. “I guess you have a point there. I don’t know. I’m not really a believer. But if it happens, it happens. I’m just not one of the lucky ones when it comes to love, so my hopes aren’t exactly very high.”
“I’ve never been in love,” Bryce muttered, shaking his head a little. “And I don’t believe love exists. So I can almost guarantee my hopes are lower than yours. But if things turn out the way I expect them to... This island will be great for getting laid, even if it’s terrible for finding love. And I don’t think I mind all that much if that’s all I get out of this place. I’ve got a girlfriend back home anyway.”
“Hey it could be worse. No one said anything about going swimming anyway. Just hanging out on the beach, getting a glimpse of the view is enough for me,” Logan replied, furrowing his eyebrows as he took in the sight of the male in front of him. “Amen to that, man. If people believe in all of that garbage, then I respect that. I just don’t think I’m the type of person that has someone waiting for me out there. I’m much better off on my own anyway.”
Bryce paused for a moment as he thought, before he shrugged his shoulders briefly. “I don’t like the beach. Not anymore, at least,” he said simply, glancing away before glancing back quickly. “I used to believe in it. But not anymore. It’s just- some stupid rumor to get lonely people to come to the island. Because at the end of the day, no one ever really loves anyone. Not when it matters, at least.”
I’m not exactly a firm believer in the whole soulmate concept. But I’m willing to give this a shot and see if the myths are actually true. After all, even if I end up single for the rest of my life, who can be bothered when there’s such beautiful beaches to hang around?
“Well, yeah, but it’s like sixty degrees here. I’m not entirely sure how pleasant it is to hang out on the beach when it’s cold out,” Bryce said slowly, tilting his head a little as he stared at the male. “Soulmates are unrealistic anyway. No one ever sticks around long enough for that sort of thing.”
“Yeah? How are you gonna break the news to me? Sit me down, take away the candy bar I’m sucking down and say ‘Cecil, ya fatass, ya gotta stop’?”
“I don’t know- I’d probably be nicer than that or something,” Bryce laughed lightly, shaking his head as he glanced down. “Probably, like, ‘Ce, even I think you’re getting fat, you’ve gotta stop.”
“No…you’d be nice to me and you won’t tell me. I know you; I know you won’t say shit,” he pouted at his friend.
“No, I would so tell you!” Bryce gasped loudly in mock offense, before pouting at his best friend. “If you started to look really ugly and fat, I would tell you. Promise.”
“Point taken,” Bryce gasped softly, pulling back as soon as he thought the other male’s cock was sufficiently slicked up with his spit. His lips were slightly swollen, he knew that, but he stood up anyway, hand trailing to his pants to open them up and push them down past his ass, turning to brace his hand on the tree as he stuck it out slightly. “I guess we should probably get to fucking then, huh?” he breathed glancing over his shoulder to look at the other male.
Spreading his body out on the bed, he moaned slightly. “Bryce,” Cecil murmured, looking over at his friend, “What if I’m getting fatter and I don’t even know ‘cause there’s no scale here?”
Bryce ordered truffles and a few other things before hanging up the phone. “Babe,” he laughed lightly, shaking his head. “You look fantastic- I would tell you if you started to look fat, so don’t worry about it.”
“Who, you and Johan? I haven’t even seen him around here lately; I’m pretty sure he went home.” Smiling from the kiss, he plucked another chocolate candy and bit open the top, peering into its insides with mixed worry, “I wish you just got truffles so I wouldn’t be playin’ with my life for some damn candy…”
“Thank god, he was always on my nerves,” Bryce muttered, shaking his head slightly. “Oh my god- do you want me to order truffles? I will order truffles.” Reaching over, the dark blonde grabbed the hotel phone and started dialing the number for room service, a small hum escaping him.
“Because I’ve lost count of how many guys I’ve slept with and they’ve NEVER had a problem with me–excluding that Johan guy who was just nervous,” He replied, “Confidence is key! Also, it’s not weird to have allergies! I just can’t eat cherry stuff, okay? Even cherry lube makes my throat close up.”
“You’re a loser and I love you because you always make me feel better. But don’t mention him. He and I didn’t get along,” Bryce hummed simply, leaning up to press a small kiss to the other male’s lips. “We both know I’m not confident. But whatever you say, because you’re my best friend and I’m like way too high to argue right now.”
